Description

Tesla’s Digital Products team is responsible for Tesla’s global, online presence, including Tesla.com, Mobile and Retail Applications.

In this development role, you will architect, design and develop customer facing applications that require high availability, concurrency, multi-tenancy, and high scalability for a large global user base. The individual in this role will work intimately with various aspect of payments including gateway solution, payment management and data storage and retrieval.

Responsibilities:

  • Interface with Product Management and Engineering to determine requirements, resolve problems, and perform testing related to Payment Applications

  • Ensure Service Level Agreements with stakeholders are defined and met

  • Develop specifications and technical design for payment projects

  • Model business processes and data

  • Design, code, test, and document programs and sub-systems while identifying multiple solutions to complex problems

  • Define optimal system performance at scale and at different layers while using system profiling tools and stress testing to find and fix weak spots

  • Implement continuous integration, regression and deployment, while maintaining the existing system and codebase

  • Ensure feature quality through extensive testing (unit, integration, functional, performance and regression) with a focus towards automation

  • Demonstrate advanced understanding of software development and research tools required to support payments

Requirements:

  • 6 to 10 Years of experience in web application design and development

  • Experience with micro-services architectures, Docker eco-system and API first approach with hands-on expertise in developing rest APIs supporting multiple versions

  • Hands-on design and development for customer facing applications that require high availability, concurrency, multi-tenancy, high scalability for a large global user base

  • Strong Core Java Experience with Expertise in enterprise Java technology eco-system including Spring Boot, JPA/Spring Data, maven, JUnit

  • Strong SQL Experience (MySQL, PostgreSQL, MSSQL)

  • Strong Web Services Experience (SOAP/REST)

  • Spring Experience (Spring Boot, Spring Batch)

  • Experience with Unit Testing Methodologies and Tools (JUnit or similar)’

  • Hands-on experience in server side JS technologies such as nodeJS is a plus

  • Experience with JMS Messaging (ActiveMQ or RabbitMQ or Kafka)

  • Good knowledge of enterprise messaging bus and integration

  • Knowledge of different caching strategies, performance tuning, transaction management across systems and messaging systems

  • Experience with Redis or in memory computing

  • Exposure to SOLR or Elastic Search
