ESG Social Reporting Leader is a member of Tesla’s global ESG team and will
play a key role in developing and directing Tesla’s ESG strategy focused on key
social indicators and reporting, driving and monitoring progress on defined goals,
and communicating Tesla’s accomplishments to internal and external
stakeholders. The Scope of program covers North America, Europe
and Asia for the Auto and Energy storage and generation businesses.
- Work with
Tesla’s ESG global team and multiple business functions to develop and
implement Tesla’s ESG strategies focused on Social Indicators. Key areas of focus include:
Measure and Develop global ESG Social Indicator goals, guidelines and training
and educational modules/systems with HR, DE&I, EHS&S teams, Energy
and Community Impact teams. This
includes existing and new programs.
Working in partnership with the teams, it includes all topics
related to employment, labor, DEI, local communities, workforce and
customer health, safety and security and customer-facing programs.
- Develop an
online ESG tracking system and map out emission factors of our social
programs to meet reduction goals. This includes business travel and
employee commuting programs and Scope 3.
- In Coordination
with team, develop ongoing ESG social policies, principles, and
guidelines that reflects ongoing regulations and frameworks.
- Conduct Socioeconomic/Impact
analysis of the portfolio working with business unit leaders and external
experts to assess and develop Tesla’s management of these issues.
track Social Indicator trends and developments in ESG disclosures and
communicate implications to the ESG Group.
- Track Global
portfolio certification and ESG regulatory requirements. Manage risk
assessment in coordination with Compliance and Legal.
- Work with
the policy team to update and give them information as needed.

Council and work with the ESG groups and Communications to promote Tesla’s
ESG leadership through internal and external digital platforms (i.e.,
intranet, corporate site, and social media).
- Manage the
Impact Report and Rating agency response to S&P 500 CSR program and
Tesla’s Sustainability Ambassadors program (grass roots) that recognizes
the environmental sustainability efforts of employees, captures and
communicates best practices, and empowers employees to promote
sustainability throughout the Tesla.
- Point person
for internal ESG communications and manage and update all online and
offline collateral for the program.
- A degree in finance, public policy, sustainability,
environmental management, public policy communications or business in preferred.
- 6 + years
professional experience related to sustainability/corporate finance/ESG, with
direct experience developing and implementing ESG economic programs within
a large, global organization.
- Current and
clear understanding of broad ESG issues, particularly relating to Social
and Reporting issues related to manufacturing, tech, and energy
industries. Also understanding of the policy and regulatory landscape

knowledge of broadly recognized and emerging ESG indicators related to
Social and Reporting requirements aligned with frameworks and rating
