Why I added another Tesla to the family

Plan a test drive Zero emissions. Zero compromises.

Our Tesla has been such a wonderful addition to our family, truly the best car that I have ever owned.  I have owned many; Mercedes Benz, Jaguar, Cadillacs and BMWs and truly nothing can even compare to the Tesla. In fact, this is my second one.

My next car: a Tesla

When the company first announced Model S in 2012, I knew without a shadow of a doubt that this would be my next car.  All electric and zero emissions were the key factors.  Sitting at my desk on Friday afternoon I received a call from Tesla. The gentleman on the other end asked for my help. I said “what, you need my help?” He went on to say that my company was building printed circuits boards for one of their cars.  I said “really, which one?”. He replied, “Model S”.  My jaw dropped, I was really surprised. It was hard to believe that my company was building the printed circuit boards for my new dream car.  They needed boards in two weeks. I got our US and Hong Kong teams together and we were able to deliver the boards in 7 days. Right after, I ordered my Model S online.  Now I was even more excited to get my new Tesla Model S, which was delivered in early 2013.  Since then I purchased another Model S, delivered on Christmas Eve 2014.  Tesla is really the ONLY car to drive.  I am totally hooked. I can’t wait to get my Model 3, which I also have on order.

Their next car: a Tesla

While spending the day with my youngest grandson, I asked him what kind of car he would like when he grows up. He didn’t hesitate for a second and said, “a Tesla just like Papa’s.”

A good friend of mine (Sean Hansen) let me know that there was a custom Radio Flyer Tesla Model S for Kids coming out soon. I said to myself, I have to get one for my grandson. I ordered it to match my Model S in red with the same license plate “Mr Tesla.”

When my grandson saw the car he could not believe it. “Wow, my own Model S and the same color as Papa’s!” We spent the afternoon learning to drive the mini-Tesla Model S. Watching my grandson cruise up and down the sidewalk with his much loved Tesla Model S was truly heartwarming. He just loved it!

My older grandson noticed the higher speed button and I told him that was the “Insane" button. In this video, you will see him zoom off in the Mini Model S in the Insane Mode.

The next day I took both grandsons to the Scottsdale Tesla showroom. Jason Bonser allowed us to show off our new addition to the Tesla family. The team at the showroom never saw the Radio flyer Model S and they were thrilled to see the car in action.

The Mini Model S was really a hit with my two grandsons and a BIG thanks to Radio Flyer and Tesla for making it possible.
