The Engineering Operations team is hiring a Business Architect responsible for establishing processes and
policies for the development of manufacturing equipment and production lines. Our mission is to accelerate
the pace of product development within Tesla so that we can bring our products to market as quickly as
possible. You’ll lay out better workflows, identify gaps in systems and build bridges between a wide variety of
groups within the organization.
Define policies or standards for how manufacturing lines and equipment is developed
Meet with cross-functional stakeholders within the company to understand how their business
processes can be improved to be more scalable or efficient.
Create policy defining the business process and establishing technical or behavioral solutions.
Coach and educate stakeholders about the problem statement and proposed solutions.
Work with Technical Solution Architects from our technology partners to implement changes to our
enterprise IT systems in support of our business processes.
Follow-through and own the process improvement from kick-off to sustaining and handover.
Work with other business analysts to understand the end-to-end business process within the company in order to make better recommendations for the company as a whole.
BA/BS in engineering or equivalent experience.
Minimum 7 years working experience ideally in a consultant role
At least 2 years working in an organization that designs and manufactures complex hardware
Prior experience working with enterprise information systems including PLM/CAD (Enovia, Catia), ERP,
MES or CRM.
Automotive industry experience
Experience working within engineering and manufacturing teams
