The Role:
The Facility Operations Team continuously monitors and manages infrastructure systems ensuring they meet the specifications of the end user. When there are degradations to these systems that impact safety or production, the Operations Team will be the first line of defense to make time-critical adjustments. The Facilities Operations Team at Gigafactory Berlin is urgently looking for a Facilities Engineering Lead to train and guide our facility engineers.
Responsibilities:
Be a key stakeholder early in the design process of Gigafactory Berlin, to ensure efficient lifecycle costs, reliability, and operability of the factory
Cooperative approach, knowledge of and close partnership with other functions and departments within the factory
Train and guide our new members of the facility management team and be the professional leadership of the team
Create systems of reporting for utility usage, facilities maintenance, system health, and operational parameters to run the factory more effectively using data
Be responsible for capacity planning
Support in developing and implementing the Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) program for facility equipment and systems operation
Create and report metrics related to Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) and Statistical process Control (SPC)
Monitoring compliance with standards, guidelines and regulations in Facility Management
Drive root cause analysis on process or asset failures.
Requirements:
5+ years working as an Engineer in technical facility service projects, preferably in greenfield manufacturing environments.
Experience in leading teams
Experience operating utility controls and/or utility systems.
Ability to interface with multiple engineering disciplines.
Ability to multi-task, prioritize and work in an extremely fast-paced environment.
Proficient in technical German and English is mandatory. Further Languages are of advantage.
