We are looking for a highly motivated individual to lead, support, and
manage Material Flow Process Engineers and Engineering Techs in a fast-paced manufacturing
This person will build a strong and capable team that can drive continuous
improvement, optimization, and 5S projects across the manufacturing line by
focusing on automated, assisted, and manual processes. The successful candidate
is a self-starter, has strong leadership capabilities, and is able to manage
multiple projects and priorities at the same time. This role requires working
closely with Production Leaders and Associates, as well as Materials,
Industrial Engineering, and other departments, in order to drive projects to
Develop and implement innovative and economic material handling solutions with an adequate level of automated systems.
Develop analytics models to establish design criteria and overall system performance criteria.
Responsible for specifying equipment in form of project specifications and requirements.
Leveraging outside partners for solution development and design.
Calculation of cost impact to proof economic benefits.
Support the overall layout and system design process including AutoCad layouts, modeling and simulation of individual technologies and entire systems.
Technical project management and implementation.
Manage budget, timeline and scope.
Manage the interface with installation of equipment on site.
Support trouble-shooting during installation and start up.
Smooth handoff to operations at Tesla factory locations.
Organize necessary IT adaptions.
Effectively communicates and collaborates openly with vendors, internal management, maintenance and other mechanical and control engineers on worldwide Tesla Material Flow Engineering team.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical
Engineering, Logistics or equivalent.
- 2+ years of technical project
- Knowledge of and experience
with material flow strategies and dynamic manufacturing systems
- Material handling and process
equipment design experience within the manufacturing and material handling
- Experience in AutoCad preferred
- Ability to see a project from
concept to manufacturing while working in a close-knit, team environment
- Values people, ethics,

organizational skills. Ability to manage several complex projects at the
same time with high degrees of variation and uncertainty
- Natural ability to speak and
write effectively at all organizational levels
- Very good written and spoken English skills (C1 and higher)
- Good written and spoken German skills (B1 and higher)
