Role
Tesla is currently looking for a Software
Engineer within the Facility Management team, that is responsible for Tesla’s
Warehouse Management System (WMS) and its continuous improvements. You will
have a critical role in ensuring the operational availability of a wide variety
of spare parts and consumables (non-Production Material) by providing the
business with a world-class WMS.
Responsibilities
- You will be the first point of contact for
any questions or suggestions for improvement regarding IT
- Identification of improvement areas for Tesla’s
Warehouse Management System (WMS)
- Implementation of improvements including tracking
the performance of these improvements
- Elaboration of structures and processes
within the software used
- Testing and implementing new functions or
processes to support optimizing order quantities and times to guarantee high
availability with low capital commitment
- Developing apps and dashboards to monitor KPIs
for the central storage but also for Service Points in the shops
- Automating processes where possible to help
driving efficiency of the Warehouse team
- Creating instructions and training Supervisor
and Material Handler on the IT systems used
Requirements
- Proficient experience in managing and
developing Warehouse Management Systems
- Proven Experience with maintenance and ticketing
software
- Experience in Facilities management and
technical service is preferable
- Good experience with programming languages:
JavaScript, Angular, React, Python
- Solid experience with database systems
(MSSQL, MySQL)
- Competent in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel,
PowerPoint, Outlook)
- Knowledge of MS Projects and MS Forms a
plus
- Experience in setting up continuous
improvement and innovation structures and integrating teams both in a green
field and integrating in an existing structure is preferable
- Reliable knowledge of different disciplines
such as mechanical, industrial, automotive and similar disciplines is
preferable
- Success in project management,
communications, cross-functional team interaction, and driving results on time
is preferable
- Passionate about Tesla's mission to

- Superior motivation and comfort working in
a high-energy, fast-paced environment
- Collaborative attitude and ability to grow
in a cross-functional team environment
- Fluency in written and spoken German and English
