Tesla cars regularly receive over-the-air software updates that add new features and enhance existing functionality via Wi-Fi. When an update is available, you’ll be notified on your center touchscreen display, with the option to install immediately or schedule for later. Premium Connectivity also enables updates to download via your car's built-in cellular connection.
The current software version is 8.1.
All Tesla vehicles with Enhanced Autopilot and the latest software update now have improved capabilities, including: Autosteer up to 150 kilometres per hour, Auto Lane Change, Summon (Beta), Lane Departure Warning, Automatic Emergency Braking and GPS enabled Homelink (Model S only). Every driver is responsible for remaining alert and active when using Autopilot, and must be prepared to take action at any time.
