Tesla App Support
Download the Tesla app for iPhone or Android to remotely monitor and control your Tesla vehicle or Powerwall with your phone. After downloading and installing the application, use your Tesla account email address and password to connect to your vehicle or Powerwall.
Trouble with the app?
Your Tesla vehicle or Powerwall must be delivered or installed for you to have app access. Vehicle owners must have app access enabled using the settings menu of the center console in order to use the mobile app. Powerwall owners must have their Powerwall registered, which is usually completed by technicians at the time of installation, in order to use the mobile app.
If you are having issues after your vehicle has been delivered or after your Powerwall has been installed, first make sure that you're using the correct email address or password. In order to reset your password, please follow the instructions here. If you cannot remember your Tesla Account email address or you no longer have access to it, please contact us at toll free number 1 800 64 6952, or the local number + 61 2 8015 2834 and we are happy to assist.
If you are a Powerwall owner and your Powerwall was not registered at the time of installation, you can now complete Powerwall registration here.
If you're experiencing performance issues with the app, the following troubleshooting steps can also be used:
- Logging out and logging back in
- Deleting and reinstalling the app
- Powering off your phone completely, and powering it back on
Features for Vehicle Owners
Unlock and drive your Tesla vehicle without your key.

Please keep in mind that this will grant the additional user access only to the Tesla mobile app, and allow them to monitor and control the vehicle.

Features for Powerwall Owners
Monitor your solar, Powerwall and home energy use in real time, and receive notifications about utility power outages.
Track how much energy you self-generate from solar and Powerwall, which reduces your reliance on utility grid power.
View a live graph of your daily, weekly, monthly or annual energy generation and consumption, which gives you full visibility in your home’s energy ecosystem.
View a history of utility power outages. You can track the day and duration of the outage.
Select between two modes, Self-Powered or Backup only. By selecting Self-Powered mode, Powerwall will store solar during the day and power your home at night. You also have the capability to set a backup reserve. If there is bad weather and you anticipate an outage, you can select Backup only, which reserves 100% of Powerwall for an outage.
