Electric Vehicle Incentives

Federal Point-of-Sale Rebate

Up to $5,000 rebate for individuals purchasing vehicles with a base MSRP* under $45,000 before including delivery centre fees. Trims of the same Model qualify up to MSRP $55,000 before delivery centre fees. View Transport Canada’s website for eligible trims.

Note: Business customers receiving the Federal point of sale incentive may not be able to claim the write-down proposed by the 2019 federal budget.

Provincial and Territorial Incentives

British Columbia
  • Up to $3,000 rebate for vehicles with a base MSRP* under $55,000**
    Track available funds in real time
  • Carpool lane access (with official EV decal)
  • Up to $700 towards the cost of eligible charging equipment and installation, including the Tesla Wall Connector when installed in private houses

  • **Eligible customers are now only permitted to receive one incentive during the lifetime of the rebate program
Nova Scotia
  • Up to $3,000 rebate for vehicles with a base MSRP* under $45,000 before including delivery centre fees. Trims of the same Model qualify up to MSRP $55,000 before delivery centre fees.

  • Nova Scotia residents are eligible for one new vehicle rebate per calendar year. Organizations and businesses registered in Nova Scotia are eligible for 10 new vehicle rebates per calendar year. This includes First Nation governments and municipal governments.

  • Individuals or organizations purchasing or leasing an eligible Tesla vehicle must submit an application to the Electrify Nova Scotia Rebate Program directly, after they have taken possession of their new vehicle.
Ontario
  • Carpool lane access (Green Plate required)
Québec
  • Up to $8,000 rebate for vehicles with a base price under $60,000
  • Reserved lane access (with official EV decal)
  • Sign-up for free toll bridges and ferry access
  • Up to $600 rebate on Wall Connector and installation

  • To qualify, the vehicle must also appear on the government’s list of eligible new vehicles. All incentive programs, timings and rules, are subject to change by government at any time.
Yukon
  • Up to $5,000 rebate for all trims of vehicle models that have at least one trim of that model with an MSRP under $55,000. You can purchase your vehicle in Yukon or import your new vehicle if you are a Yukon resident ***
  • Rebate of up to $1,500 to reimburse shipping costs associated with the import of a used electric vehicle to Yukon
  • Up to $750 rebate on Wall Connector and installation when installed in a private residence (up to 50% of purchase and installation costs)

  • ***Yukon residents are eligible for two rebates during the lifetime of the program. Organizations and businesses registered in Yukon are eligible for up to 10 rebates per calendar year. This includes First Nation governments and municipal governments

*Federal definition of MSRP
The “MSRP” (manufacturer’s suggested retail price) shown on this page is based on the definition established by Transport Canada for the purposes of the iZEV federal EV incentive program. This definition is generally also adopted by provinces for provincial programs. Per the federal government’s definition, the price used to qualify vehicles for incentives excludes delivery-related and other fees that may be included in our online store pricing, as required by provincial regulators. In some provinces, regulations prohibit the listing of the MSRP in Tesla’s online configurator or by store personnel who are obliged to communicate an all-in delivery price. The following is Tesla’s pricing prior to applying these delivery fees and charges. As such pricing may differ from amounts shown in our online store:
