Tesla Model 3

What is Bijtelling?

Bijtelling is a form of income tax paid for the private use of a company car in the Netherlands. Based on your car’s emissions, an amount is added to your gross monthly salary and taxed.

Your Bijtelling

We calculate your bijtelling based on the following factors:

1. Bijtelling rate

In 2021, there are two bijtelling rates:
- 12% from €0 - €40.000
- 22% over €40.000+

2. Car cost

The list price of your car, including upgrades.

3. Tax bracket

Your tax bracket determines the net bijtelling you pay.**

All Tesla cars are zero-emission.
Once you sign your lease, your bijtelling rate is fixed for 5 years. After activation, your lease will go into effect on the first day of the following month.

*If you are leasing your Tesla, we will refund your down payment once your leasing institution completes the full payment.

**If your current income is in a lower tax bracket, your bijtelling may put you over the threshold into a higher tax bracket. In this case, you pay the lower tax rate over part of your gross bijtelling, and the higher tax rate over the remaining amount.

The Bijtelling Calculator is intended to give an indication of your gross annual bijtelling and net monthly bijtelling. No rights can be derived from this indication and you remain responsible for determining your tax position.

***The tax brackets for 2021 and 2022 are based on the current Tax Plan and are therefore subject to change.
