ROLE

Tesla is currently seeking 4 motivated and accomplished Engineering Technicians who will be dedicated to supporting Tesla's Continuous Improvement, Production Engineering and Operation Teams.


RESPONSIBILITIES  


Display a positive attitude and practice strong work ethics that reflects the mission, philosophy and goals of Tesla.

Take direction from our manufacturing, process, and equipment engineering teams to develop and set up design of experiments (DOE), as well as build and test Tesla products.

Participate in the transition of a product from pilot line production into high volume mass manufacturing.

Analyze and optimize production processes to ensure safety while maximizing yield, capacity, and capability in cost effective means.

Support Operations and Equipment Maintenance Team with analyzing and diagnosing equipment failures. 

Provide technical writing and documentation.  

Provide data analysis and experiment summaries.

Support other projects as needed by management as business needs change.


REQUIREMENTS 


High School Diploma or equivalency required. Bachelors or Associates degree in engineering or technology is highly desired.

Evidence of exceptional ability.

Demonstrated knowledge and experience in electronic and or electro-mechanical assembly processes is preferred.

Ability to read/interpret documents such as operation and maintenance instructions of specific process.

Able to write basic operating procedures for specific manufacturing processes.

 Ability to conduct FMEA's. 

Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles. 

Ability to train production personnel on proper assembly processes and procedures.  

Experience with Excel, Powerpoint and Word.

Demonstrated safe work practices, able to lift up to 50 lbs.

Exhibit effective written and verbal communication is required.

Ability to travel up to 10%.
