Registering Your Tesla
Depending on your province, Tesla will either handle titling and registration for you, or process and mail you the documents you'll need to complete registration at your province’s motor vehicle department.
Most provinces provide Tesla approximately 30 business days to finalize registration or process your self-registration paperwork. Depending on your province, temporary license plates may be provided, so you can drive after taking delivery.
Tesla will start processing your documents once you've taken delivery and all payments have cleared. If any additional information is needed, Tesla will contact you to ensure your vehicle is registered as quickly as possible.

This transfer must be completed within 14 days of delivery at an authorized AB registry. |

We will provide you with a self-registration packet during your delivery appointment. You’ll need to visit a nearby registry to obtain an in-transit permit to drive your vehicle back to MB. You will then need to register fully with the MB registry. Federal sales tax (GST) will be collected when you purchase your vehicle. Provincial sales tax (PST) will be collected upon registration in MB. |
