Supercharging With Mobility Service Providers (MSPs)

Mobility Service Providers (MSPs) are third-party companies or platforms that provide payment solutions, like physical cards or mobile apps. In some areas, Tesla collaborates with MSPs to increase available Supercharging payment options. If you are a member of a participating MSP, you will be able to add the card issued by your MSP to the Tesla app and use it to pay for Supercharging.

How to Pay for Supercharging With an MSP Card

If your MSP issues a physical or digital card, you will need to add that card to the Tesla app before you can use it to pay for Supercharging. To add your MSP card to the Tesla app, follow these steps:

  1. Open the Tesla app.
  2. Tap ‘Charging.’
  3. Tap ‘Manage Payment.’
  4. Tap ‘Payment & Billing.’
  5. Tap the down arrow in the ‘Payment’ section, then tap ‘Add Card.’
  6. Select ‘MSP Brand’ as the card type.
  7. Enter your card details.
  8. When prompted, enter your MSP ID for verification.
  9. Once submitted, your MSP will validate your request and might send you or your fleet manager an email. Follow the steps in the email to confirm the connection.

You can have multiple payment methods in the Tesla app, but you will need to designate one of them as your Supercharging payment method before using a Supercharger. You can make your MSP card your default payment method by tapping it in the app, then tapping ‘Set as Default.’

At a limited number of sites, you can pay directly at the Supercharger using your physical MSP card.

We are actively expanding and adding new MSPs to the list. Check the Tesla app for the most recent list of available MSPs in your region.
