Powerwall is a rechargeable home battery designed to maximise energy independence, increase your savings on electricity bills and keep your home powered at night or when the grid goes down. Powerwall optimises your stored extra energy to maximise your savings.

In 2025, the one millionth Powerwall was built and installed at a customer’s home. As mass production and installation continues to grow, Tesla is offering the Next Million Powerwall Program in which you can receive a Virtual Visa® Reward Card1 when you order and install a Powerwall 3 or Powerwall 3 Expansion.

Conditions That Apply for Virtual Visa® Reward Card Eligibility1

Specific conditions apply to receive your reward card. Eligibility is subject to meeting all requirements, and requests may be rejected if conditions are not met. Review the full eligibility criteria below before proceeding. This is not a cash refund or a reduction of the price paid. Instead, upon qualification, a Virtual Visa® Reward Card2 will be sent to you by email. This reward card can be used wherever Visa® is accepted, subject to the provided terms and conditions.

For further information regarding the Next Million Powerwall Program, review the following details:

  • Amount: 450€ per Powerwall 3 or Powerwall 3 Expansion, up to 900€ total
  • Eligible models: Powerwall 3 and Powerwall 3 Expansion, can be applied to up to two eligible models
  • Order time frame: December 1, 2025 – June 30, 2026
  • Installation time frame: December 1, 2025 – August 31, 2026
  • Reward type: Virtual Visa® Reward Card2 sent by email

Customers must complete the purchase and registration of an eligible model prior to submitting a reward card application on the portal. Final eligibility and reward card amounts are determined only after the application review process.

  • Order Powerwall 3 or Powerwall 3 Expansion between December 1, 2025, and June 30, 2026.
  • Place your order directly with a Tesla Certified Installer.
  • Register through the portal by June 30, 2026.

Installation and Connection

  • Have your Powerwall(s) and/or Powerwall 3 Expansion installed, connected and registered between December 1, 2025, and August 31, 2026.
  • Submit the registered request through the portal by August 31, 2026.

Note: The offer can be applied to up to two Powerwall(s) or Powerwall 3 Expansion units per Tesla Account and the associated installation address. Tesla withholds the right to reject requests for customers with overdue invoices on their order. If a request is rejected due to outstanding payments, the purchase itself remains valid and will not be cancelled or refunded.

Find an Installer Request Reward Card

Review the full eligibility for the reward card. Order Powerwall 3 or Powerwall 3 Expansion from a Tesla Certified Installer between December 1, 2025, and June 30, 2026 for this offer. After you place your order, register for the Virtual Visa® Reward Card through the portal by June 30, 2026.

The email address you are using to register into the portal must match the email you registered with Tesla.

Access Portal

Get your Powerwall(s) and/or Powerwall 3 Expansion installed, connected and registered between December 1, 2025, and August 31, 2026. Once your Powerwall(s) and/or Powerwall 3 Expansion are installed, connected and registered, return to the portal and submit your request by August 31, 2026.

Once the request is submitted, we will confirm the details and send you the Virtual Visa® Reward Card within 10 weeks.

Once you have placed your order for your Powerwall(s) and/or Powerwall 3 Expansion with a Tesla Certified Installer, you can register for the reward card through the portal by selecting ‘Registration Submission.’

Homeowners, meaning the persons listed on the contract, will be required to register for the Virtual Visa® Reward Card in the portal from December 1, 2025 to June 30, 2026. Only the homeowner can register to get access to the Virtual Visa® Reward Card.

Access Portal

You will be prompted to upload a copy of your sales contract with a Tesla Certified Installer and to confirm your contact information. Contract must include:

  • Valid date from December 1, 2025 - June 30, 2026 
  • Name of the Tesla Certified Installer  
  • Name and surname of homeowner 
  • Installation address 
  • Email address matching Tesla Account 
  • Name and quantity of product purchased 
  • Final pricing 

Once your Powerwall(s) and/or Powerwall 3 Expansion have been installed, connected and registered, you will need to return to the portal and complete the final step to submit the request for the Virtual Visa® Reward Card by no later than August 31, 2026.

Once your Powerwall(s) and/or Powerwall 3 Expansion have been installed, connected and registered, sign in to the portal using the information you received when the Virtual Visa® Reward Card request was initially registered and submit your documentation for the final request by no later than August 31, 2026.

There will be a prompt to upload validation documents and submit the request.

Access Portal

At this stage, to complete the request of the Virtual Visa® Reward Card, you need to upload a proof of payment and a screenshot of the Powerwall 3 serial number from Tesla app.

Approved documentation as proof of payment:

  • Bank statements with corresponding itemized invoice
  • Financing agreements
  • Receipts with corresponding itemized invoice
  • Itemized invoice marked as paid
  • The Powerwall 3 serial number must be 14 characters long and is available in Tesla app.

To find the serial number, follow these steps in Tesla app:

  1. From the home screen, open the ‘Settings’ menu.
  2. Tap ‘My home Information’ > ‘My Products’ > ‘Serial Number.’

After you submit the final request by August 31, 2026 we will review your details and process the request. The Virtual Visa® Reward Card3 will be sent to you by email.

Allow up to ten weeks from the date your request was approved to receive your Virtual Visa® Reward Card1.

The Virtual Visa® Reward Card is only available for customers who ordered Powerwall(s) and/or Powerwall 3 Expansion and registered between December 1, 2025, and June 30, 2026. Powerwall(s) and/or Powerwall 3 Expansion must be installed, connected and registered between December 1, 2025, and August 31, 2026. Review the full eligibility for the Virtual Visa® Reward Card.

Once you have completed installation of your Powerwall 3 and/or Powerwall 3 Expansion, you can register your Tesla product by downloading the Tesla app. In the Tesla app, add Powerwall and/or Powerwall 3 Expansion and follow the prompts. Find step-by-step instructions on how to get started and register your Powerwall.

The program applies to all regions throughout Malta.

Changes to your installation date will impact your eligibility for the Virtual Visa® Reward Card. Installations that occur after August 31, 2026, will not qualify for a reward card. Your Powerwall(s) will need to be connected to the internet and registered by August 31, 2026, to qualify for the reward card with no exceptions.

Virtual Visa® Reward Card is paid out as a Tesla-branded virtual prepaid Visa® Reward Card to the homeowner.

The Virtual Visa® Reward Card is not redeemable for cash. Homeowners may spend the Virtual Visa® Reward Card everywhere Visa® is accepted, 44 million locations worldwide. The card is a virtual card that supports online purchases and in-store usage of Visa®'s mobile-to-wallet features with Apple Pay, Google Pay and Samsung Pay.

A Virtual Visa® Reward Card is a digital prepaid Visa® reward card that may be used for online purchases at any location where Visa® is accepted, including approximately 44 million merchant locations worldwide. The reward card may also be added to a compatible mobile wallet for in-store purchases. After approval and processing, an email will be issued within one to three business days to redeem the reward card. 

The reward card will expire after midnight EST on the last day of the month of the valid thru date printed on the front of the card. Six months from the date of issuance. If the reward card has not been activated before expiry, a new card can be reissued. Reward cards that have been activated cannot be reissued. Activation occurs at the time the reward card is redeemed through the issued email.
