Tesla App Support
With the Tesla app, you can access your Tesla vehicle and energy products from anywhere. Download the iOS or Android app and sign in with your Tesla Account email address and password.
To use the available features in the Tesla app, your vehicle must be delivered, and you must have mobile app access enabled. If you have placed an order and are preparing to take delivery, you can access your Tesla Account and explore videos from the app.
To access the Tesla app, your energy products must be installed and powered on.
How do I troubleshoot the app?
If you are experiencing performance issues with the app, follow these steps:
- Sign in and out of the app
- Power your phone off and on
- Delete and reinstall the app
How can I connect my vehicle to the Tesla app?
Your vehicle must be associated with your Tesla Account to be paired with the app. If you recently purchased your vehicle, learn more about adding and removing products.
How can I switch products in the app?
To switch to a different product, swipe left on your vehicle or energy home screen.
How can I view, add or remove a payment method?
View, add or remove payment methods at any time from Wallet in the Tesla app. All payment methods associated with your Tesla Account can be found in Wallet.
To view or add a payment method in the Tesla app, follow these steps:
- Tap the profile picture icon.
- Tap ‘Account’ > ‘Wallet.’
- To add a new payment method, tap ‘Add.’
- To set a payment method as default, open the payment method in Wallet, then tap ‘Set as Default.’
To remove a payment method in the Tesla app, follow these steps:
- Tap the profile picture icon, located in the top-right corner.
- Tap ‘Account’ > ‘Wallet.’
- Tap the payment method you would like to remove.
- Tap ‘Remove.’
Note: If you are removing a payment method that is currently used for monthly payments, such as Premium Connectivity, you will be asked to select an alternative payment method before the removal is complete.
To update your Supercharging payment method in the Tesla app, follow these steps:
- Tap the profile picture icon.
- Tap ‘Account.’
- Tap ‘Charging.’
- Tap ‘Manage Payment.’
