Sweepstakes Terms
1. Participation
Tesla will conduct a random drawing to determine eligibility to attend its Cybercab Launch Event in Austin, Texas in person. The sweepstakes will be held strictly in accordance with these Cybercab Launch Event Sweepstakes Terms (“Terms”), and no exceptions will be made. Participation is voluntary and does not create a legal partnership, agency, or other relationship between an applicant and Tesla.
NO PURCHASE OR PAYMENT OF ANY KIND IS NECESSARY TO APPLY OR BE SELECTED. A PURCHASE OR PAYMENT WILL NOT INCREASE AN APPLICANT’S CHANCES OF BEING SELECTED. SWEEPSTAKES IS VOID WHERE PROHIBITED BY APPLICABLE LAW.
By participating in the sweepstakes, each applicant certifies that such applicant is of the legal age of majority in the jurisdiction in which such applicant resides (at least eighteen (18) years of age in most U.S. states, but nineteen (19) years of age in Alabama and Nebraska, and twenty-one (21) years of age in Mississippi) and such applicant represents that such applicant is legally permitted to participate.
The Promotion Period begins at 7:37 PM Central Time (“CT”) on August 17, 2026 and ends at 11:59 PM CT on August 23, 2026 (the “Promotion Period”). There are two methods of entry:
a) Ride entry. Each eligible entrant will receive one (1) entry for each completed Robotaxi ride taken during the Promotion Period. Canceled, incomplete, fraudulent, or refunded rides will not receive an entry. There is no limit on the number of ride entries an eligible entrant may receive during the Promotion Period.
b) Mail-in entry (no purchase necessary). To enter without taking a Robotaxi ride, hand-print your full legal name, complete mailing address (including city, state, and ZIP code), telephone number, email address, and date of birth on a single plain 3"×5" card and mail it in a standard #10 outer envelope to: Tesla, Robotaxi Sweeps Event, ATTN: Robotaxi Sweeps Event, 1 Tesla Road, Austin, TX 78725. Mail-in entries must be postmarked no earlier than August 17, 2026 and no later than August 23, 2026, and must be received by Tesla no later than August 24, 2026 at 5:00 PM CT. There is no limit on the number of mail-in entries an eligible entrant may submit during the Promotion Period; provided that only one (1) 3"×5" card may be enclosed per envelope, and each envelope constitutes one (1) entry. Only one (1) 3"×5" card may be enclosed per envelope. Entries must be hand-printed in ink; mechanical reproductions, photocopies, labels, stickers, rubber stamps, metered bulk mailings, and entries generated by script, or other automated means are void. Outer envelopes must be hand-addressed. Illegible, incomplete, mutilated, postage-due, or noncompliant mail-in entries will be discarded and will not be entered into the sweepstakes. Mail-in entries will not be acknowledged or returned. Proof of mailing is not proof of receipt. Tesla is not responsible for lost, late, incomplete, illegible, misdirected, delayed, damaged, postage-due, or undeliverable mail, or for any failure of postal service.
All entries become the property of Tesla. Tesla is not responsible for lost, incomplete, illegible, late, misdirected, delayed, or damaged entries, or delays in transmission of entries.
2. Eligibility
The sweepstakes is open only to individuals who are, at the time and date of entry: (1) a legal resident of and physically located in one (1) of the fifty (50) U.S. states and the District of Columbia; and (2) who have reached the legal age of majority in their state or jurisdiction of residence. Void in U.S. Territories, including Guam and Puerto Rico, and where prohibited by law. Employees, officers and directors of Tesla, Inc. and each of their respective parent companies, affiliates, distributors, subsidiaries, prize providers, advertising/promotion agencies and their immediate family members (i.e., spouses, parents, grandparents, children, grandchildren, and siblings and each of their respective spouses), and/or those living at the same physical address (“household”) (i.e., people who share the same residence at least three (3) months a year, whether legally related or not) of any of the foregoing are not eligible to enter or be selected.
If selected, an applicant will be asked to submit a copy of valid government-issued identification and, where applicable, proof of address for such applicant. The name shown on such identification must match the name associated with Robotaxi Tesla Account (and, if applicable, the mail-in entry). If a selected applicant cannot satisfy these requirements in a timely manner, the selection will be forfeited.
TESLA WILL SCREEN FOR FRAUDULENT, ILLEGITIMATE, OR INVALID ENTRIES, AND ALL IDENTIFIED INVALID ENTRIES WILL BE DISQUALIFIED.
A total of five (5) selections will be made. Each selected applicant will receive the opportunity to attend the Cybercab Launch Event in Austin, Texas, and items with an approximate retail value of twenty-five dollars ($25). The total approximate retail value of all prizes is one hundred twenty-five dollars ($125). Transportation to the event is at the sole expense of the selected applicant. All taxes and expenses are the selected applicant’s responsibility.
3. Guests
Each application is personal to the applicant submitting it. If an applicant is selected, under no circumstances will a guest of such applicant be admitted to the event unless such other person has separately applied for the sweepstakes and been selected.
4. General Conditions
All determinations by Tesla with respect to the sweepstakes or any applicant’s eligibility will be final. Tesla, in its sole discretion, will determine the validity of each application. If Tesla determines or believes that any application is fraudulent, illegitimate or invalid, or that any applicant has failed to comply with or has violated any provision of these Terms, Tesla will have the right in its discretion to disqualify any affected applicant(s).
Tesla reserves the right to modify these procedures or whether and how the in-person portion of the event will be held in its sole discretion. Tesla may be required to or choose to further change the date, time, location and/or format of the event. Irrespective of changes in schedule, government travel restrictions or other foreseeable and unforeseeable events, Tesla will not be responsible for any travel or lodging arrangements made or other expenses incurred in anticipation or furtherance of attending the event in person.
INVITATIONS TO ATTEND THE EVENT ARE NOT TRANSFERABLE AND ANY ATTEMPT TO TRANSFER AN INVITATION TO ANY OTHER PERSON WILL BE VOID AND WILL RESULT IN SUCH INVITATION BEING RESCINDED.
5. Release and Limitations
By participating in this sweepstakes, and to the extent there are any media recordings (photograph/video) of the event, each applicant authorizes and releases Tesla, or its respective licensees, affiliates, successors, and assignees the right, where permitted by law, without any further notice, review or consent to print, publish, broadcast, distribute, and use, worldwide in any media now known or hereafter in perpetuity and on a worldwide basis, the photographs, images or video shared or captured with or on behalf of Tesla, including, without limitation, the content of media including subjects captured, associated content, voice, likeness, image or statements, as well as metadata information for purposes including but not limited to news, publicity, advertising, public relations, or other promotional purposes without any expectation of compensation or remuneration now or in the future.
Each applicant also agrees that Tesla will have no liability for, and shall be held harmless by such applicant against, any liability for any injuries, losses or damages of any kind to persons, including personal injury or death, or property resulting in whole or in part, directly or indirectly, from acceptance, or participation in this sweepstakes, or any claims based on publicity rights, defamation or invasion of privacy. The released parties are not responsible if any eligibility is revoked due to cancellations, delays, or interruptions due to acts of God, acts of war, natural disasters, weather, or terrorism.
6. Notification of Selection
Each selected applicant will be notified by direct email using the email address provided during the application (or on the mail-in entry). Winners will be selected randomly on August 25, 2026 and notified via email on August 25, 2026. Each selected applicant must respond to the direct email message within twenty-four (24) hours after the direct email message is sent. If such selected applicant does not respond to the direct email message with a submission of legible and complete copy of any additional proper evidence demonstrating eligibility to attend this event as described in Section 2, such selected applicant may be disqualified, and Tesla reserves the right to select an alternative applicant at random.
7. Conduct
By participating in this sweepstakes, each applicant agrees in advance, if selected, to conduct himself or herself at the event in a responsible, professional and courteous manner, free from disruptive behavior, including foul language and obscene gestures (as well as any obscene or indecent messages on signs or clothing). Each selected applicant will further comply with local Texas public health authority requirements, requests from Tesla staff regarding safety and any changes to operations and/or emergency response procedures. Any lack of adherence to this code of conduct may result in permanent disqualification from future Tesla events, as well as potential violation of local ordinances resulting in possible arrest and prosecution. No selection will be honored where any applicant has committed any form of misconduct (as determined by Tesla in its reasonable discretion).
8. Governing Law
Except where prohibited by law, as a condition of participating in this sweepstakes, each entrant agrees that: (1) any and all disputes and causes of action arising out of or connected with this Sweeps, or any prize awarded, shall be resolved individually, without resort to any form of class action, and exclusively by final and binding arbitration under the rules of the American Arbitration Association and held in the jurisdiction where the consumer is located; (2) the Federal Arbitration Act shall govern the interpretation, enforcement and all proceedings at such arbitration; and (3) judgment upon such arbitration award may be entered in any court having jurisdiction. In arbitration, there is no judge or jury and review is limited. The arbitrator’s decision and award is final and binding, with limited exceptions, and judgment on the award may be entered in any court with jurisdiction. The federal or state law that applies to these Rules will also apply during the arbitration. Disputes will be arbitrated only on an individual basis and will not be consolidated with any other proceedings that involve any claims or controversy of another party, including any class actions; provided, however, if for any reason any court or arbitrator holds that this restriction is unconscionable or unenforceable, then the agreement to arbitrate doesn’t apply and the dispute must be brought in a court of competent jurisdiction in Austin, TX. Tesla agrees to pay the administrative and arbitrator’s fees in order to conduct the arbitration (but specifically excluding any travel or other costs of any entrant or any other individual (including legal counsel) to attend the arbitration hearing). Either party may, notwithstanding this provision, bring qualifying claims in small claims court.
9. Privacy
Each applicant applying for a chance to attend the event in-person acknowledges and understands that the application information submitted may be stored and processed in any country which Tesla has facilities or in which Tesla engages service providers. Those countries may not have the same data protection laws as the country in which an applicant initially provided that information. When Tesla transfers information from or about an applicant to other countries, Tesla will protect it as described in Tesla’s Privacy Notice. By submitting your application, or otherwise providing information to Tesla, each applicant consents to the transfer of information from or about such applicant to countries outside of such applicant’s country of residence, including the United States. Applicant information will not be used for marketing, and processed and retained only for the purposes described herein, and in accordance with Tesla’s Privacy Notice.
