Team / Position Descriptions:
AI Hardware
- Description: The AI Hardware organization specializes in the creation of all computing components designed to accelerate Tesla's artificial intelligence workloads. This team works on all hardware design, mechanical design, and low-level software system attributes related to Dojo, Full Self-Driving, and Optimus. You will design, test, and prototype components and systems for current and future Tesla product programs. Your scope of work will be interdisciplinary in nature and will challenge you to come up with creative solutions to affect rigorous quality and cost-down targets. You will work with a team of highly talented engineers, who are focused on advancing Tesla’s AI mission. If you love solving challenging problems, you will fit in very well with our culture.
Cell Engineering
- Description: Are you ready to push the boundaries of battery technology? The Cell Engineering Team at Tesla is leading the charge in designing, developing, and manufacturing next-generation lithium-ion battery cells that power our industry-defining electric vehicles and energy storage systems. We are seeking exceptional interns specializing in mechanical electrical, and/or manufacturing engineering to contribute to the game-changing 4680 Cell Program —Tesla’s ambitious initiative to revolutionize battery performance, manufacturing efficiency, and cost reduction. As an intern, you’ll dive deep into mechanical engineering (cell design, structural integrity, packaging, and thermal optimization) or electrical engineering (battery performance modeling, electrical integration, and safety systems). You'll be working hands-on with cutting-edge battery architectures and next-gen manufacturing processes, playing a pivotal role in Tesla’s mission to accelerate the world’s transition to sustainable energy.
Energy
- Description: Tesla Energy is bringing battery, solar, and charging technologies to the grid, establishing new industries and defining the future of renewable energy ecosystems. This team is at the forefront of how we will generate, distribute, and consume power today and in the future. Tesla is leveraging its breakthrough firmware, power electronics, test, mechanical, and manufacturing capability to develop and deploy grid connected energy storage system at residential, industrial, and utility levels.
Vehicle Engineering
