  Teh Premium Sedan, Evolved

Model S is a groundbreaking electric sedan that delivers a driving experience with no equal. We are now taking online reservations in Japan.

You can make a reservation for either a Model S Signature Series or general production Model S. Both left-hand drive and right-hand drive vehicles will be built for Japan. While general production Model S will come equipped with a 255km range battery pack, and the option to upgrade to a 370 or 480km pack, Signature Series will come with a 480km range battery pack. Signature Series is a limited edition vehicle and will be very well-equipped, potentially with colors and options not available for general production Model S.

Japan Model S production will begin in early 2013 with the left-hand drive Signature Series, followed by the right-hand drive Signature Series (production beginning in mid-2013). In total, 250 Japanese Model S Signature Series vehicles will be built. Following Signature Series production, general production will begin.

  How to Reserve

Reservations can be made online. Within several days after completing the reservation process, you will receive a reservation sequence number which indicates your position within the production queue. Roadster owners will receive priority in the reservation queue.

Model S requires a refundable reservation payment of 500,000 yen payable by PayPal, bank deposit or check. To reserve a limited edition Signature Series, a refundable reservation payment of 3,500,000 yen, payable by bank deposit or check, is required. Final pricing and options are in development and will be announced when finalized.

Approximately three months before production of your Model S, we will contact you to select options and convert your reservation agreement to a purchase agreement.
