What is Full Self-Driving (Supervised)?

Under your supervision, Full Self-Driving (Supervised) can drive your Tesla vehicle almost anywhere. It will make lane changes, select forks to follow your navigation route, navigate around other vehicles and objects and make left and right turns.

When using Full Self-Driving (Supervised), you and anyone you authorize must use additional caution and remain attentive. It does not make your vehicle autonomous. Do not become complacent.

What Wi-Fi connection do I need to install Full Self-Driving (Supervised) software version 14.2?

For a quick and convenient installation experience of Full Self-Driving (Supervised) software version 14.2 or later, ensure your vehicle has a stable Wi-Fi connection with at least three bars of signal strength. If signal strength is below three bars, you may need to move your vehicle closer to the Wi-Fi source or wait for improved signal strength before initiating the update.

Updates with the latest Full Self-Driving (Supervised) software version will be automatically sent to your Model S, Model 3, Model X, Model Y or Cybertruck. If a new update is available, you’ll receive a notification on your vehicle’s touchscreen and in the Tesla app. Connect your Tesla vehicle to Wi-Fi to download the latest software update.
