What Can Powershare Back Up

Using your Cybertruck, your Powershare system can provide backup power for your entire home. The system can provide both 120 V loads used for lights, plugs and small appliances as well as 240 V heavy loads used in larger equipment such as air conditioners, electric cooking ranges, well pumps, EV charging, electric dryers, electric water heaters and pool pumps.

The number of items you need to back up, and the energy needed for each item will determine whether you should use Powershare to back up all or some of your home. Your Certified Installer will help you understand your home’s backup needs and find the best solution for your lifestyle.

Whole Home Backup

With whole home backup, your Cybertruck supports your entire home during a power outage, including all your appliances. Your home’s current energy system will determine which of the following Powershare configurations will work for you:

Whole Home Backup with Standalone Meter, Solar in Backup Circuit

Whole Home Backup with Meter Load Center and Backup Switch

Whole Home Backup with Meter Load Center and relocated loads

Your Certified Installer will help you understand your home’s needs and how Powershare can fit into your existing system.

Partial Home Backup

Partial home backup allows you to choose the essential items in your home that you want to back up in an outage such as lights and outlets and leave out items that require more energy such as air conditioners and washing machines. When the grid is providing energy, you will be able to use and monitor all appliances in your home. When the grid is down, your system will only back up those essential items.
