Missing Model Y Certification Label Recall
Tesla has issued a voluntary recall on model year 2025 Model Y vehicles manufactured between November 17, 2024, and February 24, 2025, and model year 2026 Model Y vehicles manufactured between February 25, 2025, and April 21, 2026, that may not have equipped with the certification label required by 49 CFR Part 567.

Affected vehicles may not be equipped with the certification label required by 49 CFR Part 567.

The absence of a certification label with weight specifications may lead to customers overloading the vehicle, increasing the risk of a crash.
What is the recall remedy and how long does it take to perform?
At no charge to customers, Tesla will inspect affected vehicles and affix a certification label, if necessary. Installation of the certification label will take less than 10 minutes.
Do I need to make a service appointment for this recall?
Yes. Schedule a service appointment using the Tesla app by selecting ‘Service' > ‘Request Service’ > 'Other' > 'Something Else' and entering the note “Open Recall Repair – Certification Label” into the 'Describe Concern' field.
