Cybercab Frequently Asked Questions

Cybercab is a golden two-seater vehicle with butterfly doors and a large interactive touchscreen with access to several entertainment and connectivity features, offering a seamless, accessible and futuristic experience for all riders. Cybercab is spacious with ample leg room and enough trunk space to fit two standard check-in suitcases and two carry-on suitcases.

Cybercab vehicles don’t have a steering wheel because they are fully autonomous – the vehicle uses camera vision and sensors to intelligently and safely navigate city streets, highways, complicated intersections and parking lots with ease.

Robotaxi is currently operating in Tampa and Miami, Florida and Austin, Dallas, and Houston, Texas with Model Y vehicles, and is soon expanding to several more cities in the coming months.

Cybercab rides are currently available in limited areas of Austin, Texas.

Similar to Model Y Robotaxi vehicles, you can adjust your preferred climate settings, seat position and more from the Robotaxi app. During your ride, you also can enjoy different entertainment features, such as music streaming, by using the vehicle’s touchscreen or the Robotaxi app.

Your climate and media settings are saved in your passenger profile and automatically carry over between rides.

Cybercab vehicles are designed with the following to prioritize accessibility:

• Access to various audio and visual supplemental features through the vehicle’s touchscreen and the Robotaxi app
• Bench-style seating at wheelchair height for easy transfer and movement
• Ample trunk space for wheelchairs and other assistive devices
• Cabin space for service animals
• Braille on the doors and overhead buttons

No. You can only book rides for yourself.

Doors can automatically open and close.

You can also open or close doors and the trunk using the Robotaxi app or the vehicle’s touchscreen.

Alternatively, you can open the doors of the Cybercab vehicle by pressing the button on the side of the door.

Initially, the vehicle assigned for your Robotaxi ride will be based on what is available and the number of riders in your group.

Once the vehicle has arrived, follow these steps:

1. Locate the vehicle and make sure the license plate matches that of the vehicle listed in the Robotaxi app.
2. Wait for the door to automatically open or open it with the Robotaxi app. Then, enter the vehicle.
3. Wait for the door to close automatically or close it with the Robotaxi app. Then, fasten your seatbelt.
4. To start the ride, tap ‘Start Ride’ in the Robotaxi app.

Note: Your vehicle will wait at the pickup location for seven minutes. If you have not arrived at the pickup location within this time, fees may incur or your ride may be canceled.

For Cybercab vehicles, minors aged 13-17 are permitted to ride if accompanied by an adult. Guests under the age of 13 are not permitted to ride in a Cybercab vehicle.

Cargo Volume

• Rear Trunk: 20.2 cubic feet

Up to two people can ride in the Cybercab vehicle.

Disabled riders are permitted to bring service animals in the Cybercab vehicle. Non-service animals may not ride in the Cybercab vehicle. For more information, review our Service Animal policy.

Yes. To reroute your destination, follow these steps:

1. Open the Robotaxi app.
2. Tap on the current destination of your trip and tap ‘Edit.’
3. Enter and confirm your new destination details.
