How can I order service-installed accessories?
Please contact Customer Support for additional information on service-installed accessories. If you already know the item you would like, you can also conveniently schedule your own service visit for purchase and installation via the service section in the Tesla app. Vehicles must be marked as delivered and in your possession in order to purchase and schedule installation of service-installed accessories.

How do I get my Wall Connector installed?
You can find an electrician to install a Wall Connector. Learn more about installation and how you can charge your Tesla at home.

Fitment for some products, 2015-2020 | Model X All-Weather Interior Liners, depends on the vehicle build date. Where do I find the build date of my Tesla?
The build date for your car is shown on the vehicle certification label located on the driver’s side door pillar. This label is visible when the door is open.

What happens if the products I ordered are not available?
From time to time, some products may be out of stock or are unavailable and we may not be able to fulfill all or part of your order. We may also withdraw or suspect from sale any products displayed on the website, either temporarily or permanently, at any time and without notice. If this happens, we will refund you the price paid for the products impacted. If your order is affected by a genuine error (including in a description, an image or a price), we reserve the right to cancel your order and refund any money paid to us.

Payment, Checkout and Pricing

What are accepted methods of payment?
The Tesla Shop accepts the following payment methods: Apple Pay, American Express, MasterCard, Visa and Dogecoin.

Can I edit or cancel my order?
We try to ship orders as soon as possible. However, if the order is not yet actioned by our warehouse, it may be possible to cancel the order. To verify eligibility for cancellation, please visit the Order History section of your Tesla Account. From there, select the order containing the item you wish to cancel. If the item(s) are eligible for cancellation, the option will be presented beneath the order total. If the order is being processed by our warehouse or has already shipped, but the item is still eligible for return, then the option to initiate a return will be shown instead. If the item(s) are ineligible for cancellation or return, then neither option will be shown.

Can I resell the products purchased from Tesla Shop?
No. Tesla and its affiliates sell directly to end-consumers. We may unilaterally cancel any order that we believe has been made with the intention to resell, intended to violate our trademark rights or that has otherwise been made in bad faith. We may also cancel an order and process a refund if we discontinue a product after the time an order is placed.

Shipping and Ordering Times

What are Tesla Shop's delivery timeframes?
Although we strive for order dispatch within 24 hours, order volume and product availability may result in additional processing time.

Note: Due to order volume and product availability, certain items may have limits on the quantity that can be requested.

How can I check the status of my order?
You can sign in to your account and select an order in your order history to check the status. Once your item ships, you will receive a confirmation email that includes tracking information. Just click the link in your confirmation email and follow the steps to check the status of your order. If there are any concerns, you may contact the courier directly for an update on your order or contact us.

Does Tesla ship to a P.O. box or APO?
We currently offer shipping to a home or business address. We do not offer shipping to a P.O. box or APO address.

Does Tesla ship products to my country?
We currently offer shipping to all states and territories in New Zealand.

Tesla reserves the right to cancel any order with a shipping address pertaining to a freight forwarder or that appears to be purchased with the intent to resell or export outside of New Zealand.

Returns

Is it possible to return a product?
If you are not completely satisfied with your items purchased from Tesla Shop, you may return them for a refund or replacement within 14 days of receiving your order*.

FAULTY GOODS

If a product ordered by you arrives damaged or is not of acceptable quality, please contact Customer Support onlineordersnz@tesla.com for assistance. You may have:

  1. rights to return the product under these terms;
  2. legal rights and remedies in New Zealand under the Consumer Guarantees Act and other rights under consumer laws applying in each New Zealand State; and/or
  3. to have the product repaired or replaced or to receive a refund of the price paid by you for the product.

CHANGE OF MIND

Unopened Wall Connectors, vehicle accessories, apparel and merchandise may be returned within 14 days of delivery. Items must be unused, in original condition and packaging, with tags attached to receive a full refund. If an item has been opened, but remains unused, it may be returned and subject to a 10% restocking fee. Any items returned and found to be misused, tampered with, damaged, missing parts or in unsaleable condition as a result of customer negligence, will not be accepted for return.

Service-installed vehicle accessories are ineligible for return once installed (except for cases involving warranty).

Tesla will not be responsible for ensuring that the products are suitable for a particular purpose unless it is self-evident or is made known to Tesla.

*We reserve the right to reject change-of-mind returns that do not meet the conditions outlined and will return to sender.

How do I start the return process?
To initiate a return for products purchased from the Tesla Shop, sign in to your account and start a return from your order details. If you purchase an item as a guest, access your order using your order number and email address. Our Customer Support will review your request and provide you an email with your Return Merchandise Authorisation (RMA) details and return instructions once approved.

Alternatively, contact onlineordersnz@tesla.com with your order number and return details to request a RMA.

Once you have your label, please book online or contact the carrier to advise when the return is ready to be collected from your address. Note: Rural collections are not supported. Customers will have to drop the package off at a courier depot.

The product will remain your responsibility during transit until received at our warehouse. We do not accept any liability for any loss or damage which may occur during transit.

Can I return my online or in-app order to a Tesla Service Centre?
Items purchased from Tesla Shop are not eligible to be returned at a Tesla Service Centre.

What vehicle accessories are not eligible for return?
Vehicle accessories that are not eligible for return include, but are not limited to:

  • Used and/or installed accessories
  • Accessories absent of their original packaging
  • Broken package quantities or incomplete kits
  • Wheel and tire packages that have been picked up by the customer, even if they remain uninstalled

Can I return a product purchased from a third party?
Items purchased from a third party must be returned to that seller. Unfortunately, Tesla cannot accept the return of goods purchased from any third-party vendor.

When can I expect a refund for return?

Refunds are usually processed within 7-10 business days after the returned product has arrived at the Tesla warehouse and has been inspected. Refunds will be credited to the original form of payment used for the purchase.

Do I have to pay for return shipping?
When you start a return, you will be provided a pre-paid return shipping label.

Risk and Liability
Risk and title in the products will pass to you on the date and time of delivery of the products to the delivery agent or when collected by you at the Tesla location. Our products come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Consumer Guarantees Act. You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure and for compensation for any reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. You are also entitled to have the goods repaired or replaced if the goods fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure.

Warranty

Repair or replacement of Tesla-branded vehicle accessories purchased directly from Tesla over-the-counter, online or purchased and installed by Tesla Service, are covered under the Tesla Parts, Body & Paint Repair Limited Warranty.

This limited warranty covers the repair or replacement necessary to remedy any “failures” that are determined by Tesla to have occurred under normal use. “Failure” means the complete failure or inability of a covered part to perform the function(s) for which it was designed, due to defects in material or workmanship of the part manufactured or supplied by Tesla, which occur under normal use. Failure does not include the gradual loss in operating performance due to normal wear and tear. The Tesla Parts, Body & Paint Repair Limited Warranty begins on the purchase date of the accessory, and coverage extends for a period of 1 year. Specific categories of accessories have unique warranty coverage periods:

Subject to the exceptions described below and the terms of the Tesla Parts, Body & Paint Repair Limited Warranty, direct-ship accessories which do not require Tesla installation are covered for a period of 1 year from the purchase date of the accessory.

Service-installed Vehicle Accessories
Subject to the exceptions described below and the terms of the applicable limited warranty, service-installed accessories are covered for whichever provides you the greatest benefit: 1 year from the purchase date of the accessory pursuant to the Tesla Parts, Body & Paint Repair Limited Warranty or the remainder of your New Vehicle Limited Warranty.

Product Coverage
Wheel and Tire Packages Tesla New Vehicle or Parts, Body & Paint Limited Warranties do not cover tires, brake fluid or brake pads.
Model 3 Track Package Tesla New Vehicle or Parts, Body & Paint Limited Warranties do not cover tires, brake fluid or brake pads.

* Warranty repairs do not constitute an extension of the original limited warranty period for the vehicle nor its parts or accessories.
* The Tesla Parts, Body & Paint Repair Limited Warranty gives you specific contractual rights. These rights do not substitute or affect any mandatory statutory rights under your local laws. This could mean that you may have additional rights arising from your local laws including, but not limited to, any mandatory statutory warranty rights.

Merchandise
Apparel and Lifestyle products are not covered under warranty.

Technical Support and Product Help

I would like to buy a direct-ship product but don't know if I can install it properly. Can I get help with installation on my Tesla vehicle?
Direct-ship accessories are meant to easily be added and removed from the vehicle and do not require a Service Centre visit but feel free to contact us for help. If you need additional assistance with installation, a service appointment can be made.

Where can I find fitting instructions for a direct-ship accessory?
When available, certain direct-ship accessories will have a download link for additional product information, including installation instructions.
