Tesla accepts wire transfer, cheque deposit, cash deposit and financing through a bank or leasing. Confirm your preferred payment method in your Tesla Account under 'Payment Method' or directly with your advisor. We require payment or valid proof of payment prior to your delivery date.
To submit your final payment, view your final invoice in your Tesla Account and follow payment instructions. Delays in payment may affect your delivery date.
Your bank will inform you if a down payment to Tesla is required. If it is required, your initial order payment will be deducted from the total down payment amount. Complete your down payment at least nine days before your delivery date to allow time for it to be sent, received and processed before your appointment.
The Destination and Doc Fee applies to all vehicles and includes administration, registration and documentation fees.
We will register your vehicle with the information you provided in your Tesla Account. If you are financing or leasing your vehicle, we require your down payment in order to register your vehicle. If you are paying cash, we require the full payment in order to register your vehicle.
No. Your registration name must always match the name on your loan agreement.
Yes. If you wish to use your own license plate number inform your Delivery Team. If the license plate is already in use on your current vehicle, ensure it is deregistered at least five days prior to delivery.
InsureMyTesla offers fully comprehensive motor vehicle insurance. With a simple online process, you can receive a tailor-made quote and insure your vehicle from the comfort of your home. InsureMyTesla is underwritten by Liva and operated by Petra.
If the purchasing payment method is cash, you may choose between a third-party insurance or a comprehensive insurance policy. If the purchasing payment method is financing, the motor vehicle insurance type required before taking delivery of your Tesla vehicle must include a comprehensive insurance policy, as specified by the financing institution.
InsureMyTesla allows you to receive a quote before you know the VIN or delivery date. To finalize your insurance purchase, you require your VIN.
