When ordering your Tesla vehicle, select ‘Lease’ as your payment method.

Note: Tesla leasing is not available in all provinces and additional taxes and fees may apply. These estimated lease payments are not guaranteed and are subject to our underwriting process.

Financing With a Lease

After placing an order, get started by downloading the Tesla app. Use the Tesla app to review and confirm your delivery, registration and trade-in details.

Tesla leasing is available in the following provinces: AB, BC, MB, NS, ON, QC, SK.

Submit a Lease Application

To submit a lease application, follow these steps:

Sign in to the Tesla app and complete the initial self-guided delivery tasks.
In the ‘Financing’ section, select ‘Yes’ when asked whether you plan to lease or finance your vehicle.Select ‘Tesla Lease’ as the financing type to start your application process.
Review and confirm additional information including your preferred amount due at signing, monthly payment, monthly term and annual mileage.
We will review your lease application upon submission. If your information changes or your lease approval expires, you can resubmit your application by following the same steps above.
You can check the status of your application from the ‘Financing’ section in the Tesla app.

If you’re approved, you can review and accept the offer from the Tesla app and a Tesla Advisor will reach out to you with next steps to take delivery of your vehicle. In the event that your lease application is denied, a member of the Tesla team will contact you to discuss next steps.

Note: You must be over the age of 18 and have a Social Insurance Number to submit a lease application.

Payments and Fees

Your leasing payments can be made in the Tesla app. You can also enroll in paperless billing and manage your billing information. Learn more about making leasing payments.

Note: To access leasing payment features in the Tesla app, you must have Tesla app version 4.4.0 or later.

You can apply any time after you place your vehicle order. Lease approvals are valid for up to 60 days and are subject to credit approval. If your delivery date is pushed back after your application expires, you may need to reapply.
Tesla leasing is available for applicants in the following provinces: AB, BC, MB, NS, ON, QC, SK.

The name on the lease application must match the name of the vehicle registration and this person must take delivery of the vehicle. For applications supported by a small business, the credit report of the individual applicant will be used to assess the application.
At least one hard pull of your credit report is required; however, for some applicants, additional inquiries may be needed as we work to find you the best credit offer possible.
Many credit decisions are available within a few minutes, with most available within 48 hours. However, some may occasionally take longer due to unforeseen circumstances.

You can check the status of your application in the ‘Financing’ section of the Tesla app. Once a credit decision has been made, you'll be notified in the Tesla app. Lease approvals are valid for up to 60 days and are subject to credit approval.
Yes. If you have more than 13 payments left on your lease, you may be eligible to transfer your lease to a credit-approved assignee. Transfer fees and applicable taxes will apply.
If you are a current leaseholder and have recently moved, you will need to notify us of your new address. We will then register the vehicle on your behalf in the new province, if allowed by the province. Tesla leasing is available in the following provinces: AB, BC, MB, NS, ON, QC, SK. If you are moving outside of these provinces, review your lease-end options to exit the lease at your own expense.

If your registration expires during your lease period, reach out to your local provincial motor vehicles department to renew your registration. Learn more about the registration process in your province.
Yes. Notify us of any registration or billing address changes, so we may begin the process of re-registering and titling the vehicle, if required and if allowed by the province. Tesla leasing is available in the following provinces: AB, BC, MB, NS, ON, QC, SK. If you are moving outside of these provinces, review your lease-end options to exit the lease at your own expense.
Yes. You can return the vehicle to any province where Tesla leasing is available. Depending on the return location, you may be liable for additional inspection requirements and fees.
Any taxes or fees associated with your leased Tesla will be passed on to you as the lessee. If you have questions, review your lease agreement or contact us.
Yes. You must meet the requirements below for your lease:

There are minimum coverage requirements that can be found under Section 16 of the lease agreement. These requirements include:

$50,000 for property damage

$300,000 for bodily injuries to any one person

$500,000 for any one accident

Physical damage insurance for full value of vehicle

Maximum deductible: $1,000

You must list Tesla Motors Canada ULC as an additional insured party on the policy with the below address. Should your insurance have any issues using a US address, use the address of the local showroom you took delivery from.
