Supercharger for Business

Why Tesla is Offering This Program

In 2025, Tesla's Supercharger network—spanning more than 75,000 stalls—delivered 6.7 TWh of energy, surpassing the combined output of all other fast chargers outside China. For over a decade, we have pioneered and scaled the world's largest fast-charging network, setting the global standard for reliability and efficiency. With Supercharger for Business, we bring this proven expertise to your operations, providing cutting-edge technology, dedicated support, and tailored solutions to ensure your sites thrive and succeed.

Our consistent performance is driven by deep vertical integration, resulting in charging infrastructure that's faster and cheaper to deploy, easier to operate, and more dependable. Most charging solutions rely on a stack of disconnected vendors, enterprise software, and hardware that was never designed to work together. Tesla takes a different approach. We design the power electronics, manufacture the hardware at automotive scale, operate the global network 24/7, and manage all the software that ties it together.

By owning every layer, from cabinet design and thermal systems to routing algorithms and predictive maintenance, Tesla removes complexity for site hosts and delivers a seamless experience for drivers  (e.g., #1 in the United Kingdom, #1 in North America).

What Makes Supercharger for Business Different

Supercharger for Business includes the full technology stack that has defined Tesla charging for more than a decade. Beyond speed and reliability, the system incorporates software, power-electronics innovation, manufacturing scale, and advanced network intelligence.

  • Network Operations, Remote Diagnostics, Driver Support:
    • Every Supercharger for Business site is monitored and managed exactly like Tesla-owned locations.
    • Tesla’s 24/7 global Network Operations Center continuously watches for anomalies, applies over-the-air fixes, and dispatches service when needed — with parts stocked globally so we can respond quickly. Predictive models forecast utilization, identify emerging issues, and help keep your site operating reliably.
    • Tesla Service teams stationed worldwide specialize in Supercharger diagnostics, carry parts on-hand, and provide a live feedback loop to Engineering to continually refine products and components.
  • Foot Traffic & Utilization:
Tesla Superchargers account for 99% of fast charging by Tesla drivers in North America and 70% in Europe, Middle East and Africa. In the US, Superchargers see over 10 sessions per stall per day, while in Europe, they achieve 2.3X higher utilization than third-party chargers (per public data). For a typical 8-post Supercharger site, this translates to 80+ customers visiting daily, who then spend money at your business. With 60M+ EVs on the road and less than 5% of the global vehicle fleet being electric, this growth is expected to continue.

  • Magical Software Driving Customer Experience:
Tesla’s software ecosystem is the foundation of the Supercharging experience. Every feature is designed to reduce friction, improve predictability, and help drivers get back on the road faster.
    • Continuous innovation delivered quarterly: New features are released every quarter. Current pilots include Site Maps and Queuing. With Site Maps, drivers can now see 3D views of Superchargers when navigating to them, or by tapping "View Site Map". Site Maps display Supercharger layouts, nearby businesses, and live availability details.
    • Seamless site integration: Superchargers integrate directly into Tesla’s and other EV’s navigation system, allowing drivers to see site attributes, including charging speeds, amenities, and live stall availability, before arriving.
    • Intelligent Trip Planner: Tesla Trip Planner accounts for weather, driving behavior, temperature, and battery state of charge.
    • Plug & Charge from day one: Authentication and payment happen instantly at the plug. Tesla removes unnecessary requirements and eliminates common point-of-sale failure points.
    • Down Stall visibility & live outage notifications: Drivers see immediately if a stall is offline, with live availability adjusted dynamically. Superchargers undergoing maintenance or experiencing outages are clearly communicated in the app, helping avoid stranded travelers and rerouting drivers automatically.

    • Real-time wait times & “Stalls Upon Arrival” forecasting: Anonymous geofenced data provides highly accurate wait-time estimates so drivers can make informed decisions between nearby sites. Tesla’s forecasting models are constantly refined to predict actual stall availability at arrival (not just current availability) giving drivers more certainty on busy corridors.
    • Battery Preconditioning & AC Ripple Current Heating: Vehicles automatically optimize battery temperature before reaching a Supercharger to ensure the fastest possible charging session. Tesla pioneered warming batteries through AC ripple current in extreme cold, preventing stranded drivers and maximizing throughput in winter conditions.

    • In-App Customer Satisfaction & Report an Issue: Both Tesla and other EVs allow customers to submit satisfaction feedback and report issues directly from the app, improving feedback loops and enabling faster resolution of concerns.
      Graph of statistics
    • Pricing flexibility for site hosts: Hosts can enable congestion fees and time-of-use pricing to help improve site flow, balance demand, and enhance the overall charging experience. Learn more here on how Tesla has taken a customer-centric and principled approach to pricing.
    • Deep Mapping Integration: Supercharger sites are fully integrated with Google Maps. Tesla and Google are now working together to incorporate forecasted stall availability and real-time wait times directly into navigation, while Google provides arrival data to improve accuracy.
This mapping integration means each business who installs superchargers will show up in Tesla apps and within Google.

  • Full Interoperability & Driver Access:
Across North America, every major automaker is integrating with Tesla’s charging system. In Europe and the U.K., all large charge cards will be supported soon. This ensures your chargers are visible, usable, and trusted by the widest set of drivers.
  • Leading Power Electronics & Manufacturing Superpower:
With 3x higher power density, V4 cabinet enables greater throughput at lower cost, all built on a manufacturing line capable of producing Superchargers and Semi Chargers at true automotive scale.
    • Passenger Vehicles: V4 cabinet delivers up to 500 kW for passenger vehicles. While each Supercharging post can peak at 500 kW, the system requires less than 1 MW across eight posts to deliver maximum power to cars 99% of the time. It supports 400–1000V architectures and uses next-generation power electronics engineered for exceptional reliability.
    • Semi-Trucks: V4 cabinet already delivers up to 1.2MW on Semi Megacharger.
  • Optimized Design for Efficiency, Lower Costs, and Faster Installations:
    • Tesla continues to optimize Supercharger design to lower costs and speed up installations through standardized civil and electrical approaches including precast foundations, above-ground wireways, micro-trenching, flexible certified conduit, direct-bury options, and centrally sourced aluminum wiring.
    • Power-sharing algorithms use real-world stochastic data to right-size utility service without impacting charging speed, reducing transformer and switchgear requirements.
    • Most new sites now use pre-assembled Supercharger Units (PSUs), which deliver 15%+ cost reductions, higher quality, and construction timelines measured in days, with commissioning handled at the factory rather than on-site.
