What is Powershare Grid Support
With Powershare, your Cybertruck can support the electric grid when needed and earn you money. In participating regions listed below, Powershare Grid Support allows your vehicle to send energy back to the grid during high-demand energy events. For each event where you send energy to the grid, you’ll receive credit on your energy bill while helping your community's energy resilience.
Powershare Grid Support eligibility requirements vary depending on where you live and your utility provider. Select your state below to see requirements for your area.
Once you’re enrolled in Powershare Grid Support, you can start saving on your energy bills by contributing power during high-demand energy events. Events will happen infrequently and sometimes at short notice, so it’s important to have your vehicle ready to contribute to the grid if needed.
To participate in high-demand energy events, your vehicle must have energy to send to the grid. You can help ensure your vehicle has energy available to send to the grid by:
- Plugging in your vehicle whenever you are home, even if it does not need to be charged
- Limiting your Powershare Limit to what you need – the lower the limit the more your vehicle will be able to discharge during an event
Can I use Powershare Grid Support?
Currently, Powershare Grid Support is open by invitation only through our early adopter program. Powershare Grid Support will be available to all customers who meet the eligibility criteria after the early adopter program concludes.
How will I receive compensation for participating in Powershare Grid Support?
Compensation for Powershare Grid Support will vary depending on the program or electricity plan that you're enrolled in. Refer to your program or plan specific details to learn more.
Does Powershare Grid Support impact my vehicle warranty?
