Demo Drive

Schedule a demo drive appointment to enhance your Tesla experience. While we can sometimes accommodate walk-ins, appointments are limited so we encourage you to schedule in advance.

Note: Our first priority on a drive is the safety of our customers and staff. We reserve the right to end a demo drive for any reason.

You can schedule a demo drive appointment online. Based on your location and vehicle availability, overnight demo drives may also be available. A Tesla Advisor will contact you prior to your appointment to confirm.

If you don't live close to a Tesla site that offers demo drives, you can schedule a self-serve demo drive, which allows you to experience a Tesla vehicle on your own terms at a nearby location. 

You must have a valid driver’s license and meet the individual age requirements for each kind of drive and vehicle model. 

Standard Demo Drives

• Model 3 and Model Y: 18 years old
• Model S, Model X and Cybertruck: 21 years old

Overnight and Self-Serve Demo Drives

• Model S, Model 3, Model X, Model Y and Cybertruck: 21 years old 

Tesla also occasionally hosts demo drive events. Discover local events to find regional demo drives near you.

Tesla vehicles for demo drive are equipped with some features including Full Self-Driving (Supervised), Actually Smart Summon and Autopark. Learn how to engage FSD (Supervised) before you start your demo drive.

Plan to arrive 10 minutes before your drive. Upon arrival, a Tesla Advisor will check you in, ensure we have all required documents and route you to your vehicle. Demo drives are approximately 30 minutes and will give you the opportunity to enjoy the unique capabilities and performance of a Tesla vehicle.

Note: Currently enabled features require active driver supervision and do not make the vehicle autonomous. The activation and use of these features are dependent on development and regulatory approval, which may take longer in some jurisdictions. When using FSD (Supervised), you and anyone you authorize must use additional caution and remain attentive. Do not become complacent.
