Full Self-Driving (Supervised) for Insurance
Tesla Insurance offers an insurance premium benefit to Tesla owners who have purchased or subscribed to Full Self-Driving (Supervised). Eligible customers who drive with FSD (Supervised) engaged will receive a reduction on their premium. The more you drive with FSD (Supervised) engaged, the bigger the reduction is on your insurance premium for certain coverages on your Tesla Insurance policy.
We offer a benefit in two ways: (1) FSD (Supervised) Discount or (2) premium benefit through Safety Score with FSD (Supervised).
Note: To receive the premium benefit through Safety Score with FSD (Supervised), you must be enrolled in Safety Score version 3.0.

How It Works
Throughout the month, Tesla Insurance will collect the following data from your vehicle:
- Total miles driven
- Total miles driven with FSD (Supervised) engaged
Tesla Insurance will then calculate your next monthly premium based on the percentage of miles driven with FSD (Supervised) engaged.
The percentage of miles driven with FSD (Supervised) engaged is calculated by dividing the total miles driven with FSD (Supervised) engaged by the total miles driven, over the last 30-day period. The reduction on your insurance premium may vary depending on the percentage of total miles driven with FSD (Supervised) engaged.
FSD (Supervised) Discount
Based on the calculation above, you can earn up to a maximum discount of 10% on certain coverages when you drive with FSD (Supervised) enabled over the last 30-day period.
Premium Benefit Through Safety Score With FSD (Supervised)
When your Safety Score is updated every month, you will also get a Safety Score with FSD (Supervised), which is calculated as follows:
Safety Score with FSD (Supervised) = % of Miles with FSD (Supervised) engaged x 100 + % of Miles with FSD (Supervised) disengaged x Safety Score
The Safety Score with FSD (Supervised) will be used to determine your premium for the next month. The more you drive with FSD (Supervised) engaged, the higher your Safety Score with FSD (Supervised) will be, unless you have a Safety Score of 100, in which case your Safety Score with FSD (Supervised) will stay at 100. The higher your Safety Score with FSD (Supervised) is, the lower your premium will be.
