• Storm Watch is enabled, offering outage protection when you need it most.
• Backup Reserve must be set to minimum 20%.
• Tesla Electric mode must be enabled.
• Grid charging and discharging must be enabled.

No. While the plan does not offer VPP credits, Sunrun and Tesla have partnered to drive value back to customers in the form of competitive energy rates and a 1:1 sellback rate.

No. However, the Flex plan has a low rate for all your home’s needs, including home charging for your Tesla vehicle. Pay the fixed all-in rate to power all your energy needs and use sellback credits to lower your electricity bill.

Your ESI-ID is a 17- or 22-digit number that identifies your electrical service location. This number is unique to your home. You can find your ESI-ID on your current electricity provider’s utility bills. If you can’t find a good match for your address when signing up for Tesla Electric, you can enter your ESI-ID manually. If your ESI-ID does not return a match, then you are not eligible to sign up with Tesla Electric at this time.

You can access your EFL on the Tesla Electric home screen in your Tesla app. Once you open your Tesla app, tap the Tesla Electric banner and you will find a link to your current EFL at the bottom of the screen.

You can expect your first billing statement shortly after we receive your first monthly meter reading. Generally, we’ll receive your first monthly meter reading within 30 days of your service start date. If you switch to Tesla Electric towards the end of your billing cycle, it may take slightly longer. Your monthly meter reading tells electricity providers how much energy you have used.

After confirming your eligibility for Tesla Electric in the Tesla app, you can view your home electricity rate and Electricity Facts Label.

Note: Home electricity rates do not include TDSP Charges. Your TDSP Charges are determined by your local utility and will show as a separate line-item on your bill.

Yes. Tesla Electric offers Energy Sellback at a fixed rate for all hours.

These are the charges that come from your local Transmission Distribution Service Provider (TDSP). They are also known as your utility company or Transmission and Distribution Utility (TDU). The TDSP charges are a mix of consumption-based fees and standard monthly charges. You’ll see these two types of charges itemized on your billing statement. TDSP charges may fluctuate depending on your usage and if your local utility company increases or decreases their fees.

Before you get started with the sign-up process, you will be prompted to enter your address or ESI-ID. This will determine your eligibility for Tesla Electric.
