Tesla Wheel and Tire Protection Plan

You can subscribe to the Wheel and Tire Protection Plan within 30 days of taking delivery of an eligible, new Tesla vehicle or within seven days of purchasing four tires in service or completing a complimentary inspection.

To subscribe, follow these steps:

1. Open the Tesla app.
2. Tap ‘Upgrades’ > ‘Service Plan’ > ‘Wheel and Tire Protection.’

Currently, the WTPP subscription is available for Model S, Model 3, Model X, Model Y and Cybertruck vehicles.

Alternatively, model year 2026 Model S and Model X vehicles ordered on or after August 15, 2025 will receive the Luxe Package, which includes coverage of the Wheel and Tire Protection Plan. New Cyberbeast vehicles ordered between August 21, 2025 and February 19, 2026 will have received the Luxe Package. Coverage lasts for four years and includes repairs and replacements on Tesla-installed wheels and tires caused by typical road hazards. A $25 deductible will be applied to all tire replacements. No. Repairs may only be performed for your vehicle’s tires. Replacements can be performed for your vehicle’s tires and wheels.

Yes. If you own a pre-owned Tesla vehicle, you can subscribe by scheduling and completing a complimentary inspection at a Tesla Service Center or, if a replacement is needed, by having all four of your vehicle’s tires replaced by Tesla. Once you complete the inspection or replacement, you will have up to seven days from your scheduled appointment to subscribe.

If you purchase a new Tesla vehicle, you are eligible to subscribe to the WTPP within 30 days after taking delivery of your vehicle. If you missed the 30-day period to subscribe, explore additional options to become eligible for the WTPP.

Once you have taken delivery of your new vehicle, confirm your eligibility by following these steps:

1. Open the Tesla app.
2. Tap ‘Upgrades’ > ‘Service Plan’ > ‘Wheel and Tire Protection.’
3. If you are eligible, you will see an option to subscribe to the Wheel and Tire Protection Plan.

Note: If you do not see the option available, your vehicle may not be eligible for the Wheel and Tire Protection plan without an inspection. Additionally, only the registered vehicle owner can subscribe to upgrades in the Tesla app.

Yes. You can subscribe by scheduling and completing a complimentary inspection at a Tesla Service Center or, if a replacement is needed, by having your all four of your vehicle’s tires replaced by Tesla. Your vehicle’s tires must be made from the original equipment manufacturer (OEM) material.

You can schedule the inspection in the Tesla app by following these steps:

1. Open the Tesla app.
2. Tap ‘Service’ > ’Request Service’ > ’Upgrades & Accessories’ > ‘Wheel and Tire Protection.’
3. Select your preferred Tesla Service Center and time for your appointment.

If your vehicle passes the inspection by meeting all the criteria, you will be able to subscribe to the Wheel and Tire Protection Plan for up to seven days after the service appointment. Within 24 hours after completing your inspection, you will receive a notification to subscribe in the Tesla app.

Alternatively, if you need all four of your vehicle’s tires replaced, schedule a service appointment from the Tesla app to have it replaced by Tesla and you’ll be able to subscribe to the Wheel and Tire Protection Plan for up to seven days after the replacement.

Note: The option to complete an inspection or schedule a replacement is also available for pre-owned vehicle owners.

Your vehicle’s wheels and tires must meet the criteria as outlined below:

• Made from the original equipment manufacturer (OEM) material
• No evidence of damage that affects the integrity of the tire, including cracks, exposed threads, sidewall bubbles and embedded screws
• No evidence of damage that affects the integrity of the wheel, including structural damage such as cracks, bends or other types of damage that would impair the tire’s ability to maintain tire pressure
• No evidence of tire plugs or patch repairs, including repaired tires
• No evidence of tires with less than 75% tread remaining

If you don’t pass the inspection, you can schedule a service appointment to have your vehicle’s tires replaced by Tesla. Once the inspection is completed, you will be eligible to subscribe to the Wheel and Tire Protection Plan.

Currently, the Wheel and Tire Protection Plan is only available in the U.S. The WTPP will become available for other regions in the future.

The Wheel and Tire Protection Plan covers your new tires and the wheels they’re mounted on for as long as your monthly subscription remains active. The plan coverage starts the same day you subscribe to the plan and continues until you cancel for up to 24 months.

The Wheel and Tire Protection Plan covers tire repairs as well as replacements on Tesla installed wheels and tires caused by typical road hazards, subject to a deductible for replacements. If your wheel or tire is damaged, simply schedule a service appointment at your nearest Tesla Service Center or, in case of emergency, contact Roadside Assistance. If the damage is covered under your WTPP Terms and Conditions, we’ll take care of the repairs or replace the tire or wheel as needed.

Note: Repairs may only be performed on your vehicle’s tires.

The Wheel and Tire Protection Plan does not cover cosmetic damages, theft, vandalism or previous damages that predates the subscription date of the plan. Additional information on exclusions can be found in your WTPP Terms and Conditions.

As long as the tire or wheel damage is covered under the terms of the plan, you can use the Wheel and Tire Protection Plan to repair or replace your tire or wheel as many times as needed during the 24-month period so long as your subscription is active. A $25 deductible will be applied for each replacement.

The WTPP covers tire repair and wheel and tire replacement at any Tesla Service Center across the United States, subject to availability.

Tesla Windshield Protection Plan
While helping to minimize out-of-pocket costs and insurance claims, the Tesla Windshield Protection plan is a monthly subscription that addresses the repair and replacement of your vehicle’s front windshield, with consideration for the vehicle's advanced safety features and camera systems. Extended Service Agreement
Providing separate coverage after your vehicle’s limited warranty expires, the ESA subscription is a monthly plan that covers the repair or replacement necessary to correct the mechanical breakdown or inability to perform the function(s) for which it was designed of most parts manufactured or supplied by Tesla during the coverage period under normal use. To update the payment method for your Wheel and Tire Protection Plan, follow these steps:

1. Open the Tesla app.
2. Tap ‘Upgrades’ > ‘Manage’ > ‘Wheel and Tire Protection.’
3. Select the desired payment method from the dropdown.

Payment methods changed through Tesla Account by going to ‘Settings’ > ‘Payments’ do not automatically change payment on active vehicle subscription.

To download and view your subscription invoices, follow these steps:

1. Open the Tesla app.
2. Tap ‘Upgrades’ > ‘Manage’ > ‘Wheel and Tire Protection.’
3. The invoices will be located at the bottom of the screen.

You can also download subscription invoices from your Tesla Account by going to ‘Manage Car’ > ‘Documents.’

Your first payment will be made upon subscribing to the Wheel and Tire Protection Plan. You will then be charged monthly until the subscription is canceled or until coverage has expired after two years. To see when your next payment is due, follow these steps in the Tesla app:

1. Open the Tesla app.
2. Tap ‘Upgrades’ > ‘Manage.’
3. Find the next payment date under ‘Wheel and Tire Protection.’

Yes. You can cancel any time from the Tesla app. Once you cancel, your coverage will end after the current billing cycle ends.

To cancel your subscription, follow these steps:

1. Open the Tesla app.
2. Tap ‘Upgrades’ > ‘Manage’ > ‘Wheel and Tire Protection’ > ‘Cancel Plan.’
3. Confirm the end date of your coverage and complete the cancelation request.

Yes. If you cancel your WTPP, you will have until the end of that same billing cycle to resubscribe. Once you make your last payment and the billing cycle ends, your coverage will expire. If your WTPP has expired after the full two years, you can become eligible to resubscribe by scheduling and completing a complimentary inspection at a Tesla Service Center or, if a replacement is needed, by having all four of your vehicle’s tires replaced by Tesla.

No. If you cancel your subscription, you will make your last payment and continue to have coverage until the end of that same billing cycle. Additional information on canceling your subscription can be found in the ‘Cancelation and Termination’ section of your WTPP Terms and Conditions.

Yes. Once you sell your Tesla vehicle, you can initiate a vehicle ownership transfer with Tesla, allowing the new owner to resume the remainder of your coverage. The new owner will receive notice of the option to continue the subscription. Once the ownership transfer is completed, you will not be charged for the subscription after your last payment.
