    How is range calculated?
    Range is calculated according to the Australian Design Rule 81/02 static laboratory combined average city and highway cycle test (aligned to the NEDC standard as defined by UNECE R101/01). Learn more about range calculations.

    Ordering Model 3

    I am a reservation holder, how do I place my order to receive priority delivery?
    Log into your Tesla Account, select ‘Manage’ to configure your Model 3 then complete the $3,000 order payment to place your order. Your initial reservation payment will also be itemised on your order agreement.

    I have a referral code from a Tesla owner, how do I apply this when ordering my Model 3?
    Visit the Tesla website via the referral link and the code will be applied automatically. If you have a Model 3 reservation, select ‘I have a Model 3 reservation’ below the Design Now button to place your order. Learn more about the Tesla Referral Program.

    If I confirm my Model 3 order today, when can I expect to take delivery?
    First deliveries are scheduled to begin in August 2019 and will be prioritized based on reservation date, delivery location and configuration options. As you design your Model 3, you will be provided an estimate delivery timing – actual delivery timelines may vary based on configuration options.

    I placed my Model 3 order. What’s next?
    As your delivery date approaches, we will contact you to confirm your registration, payment method and, if applicable, trade-in details. In the meantime, you can learn more about Model 3 by reviewing the following information:

    • Watch Model 3 support videos.
    • Prepare for charging at home by learning about what options are available, and find an electrician to assist with your installation.
    • Download the Tesla mobile app to learn about your car and help prepare for your delivery day.

    What type of payment options are available for my Model 3?
    As your delivery date approaches, you will be able to confirm your final payment options in your Tesla Account. Final payment may be made via bank transfer or credit card. Final payments via credit card require a ‘card present’ transaction using CHIP+PIN security. Non-card present payments (such as by phone) cannot be accepted. Credit card surcharge fees apply and will be itemised on your receipt. Full payment must be received prior to delivery.

    Are there any tax or registration concessions for electric cars?
    In Australia, fuel efficient vehicles attract less Luxury Car Tax, leading to a saving of up to $3,034. In some states and territories, electric vehicles pay less stamp duty or registration fees. Learn more.

    What charging options are available for Model 3?
    Model 3 comes with the same charging options as all Tesla cars. In addition to the Supercharger and Destination Charging networks, Model 3 can access CCS Combo 2 public charging stations without any adapters. Learn more about home charging installation and Supercharging.

    Are there any ‘off menu’ configurations available?
    No. Currently the only vehicles on offer in Australia & New Zealand are those available on the website.

    Changing or Modifying Your Order

    Can I edit my Model 3 design after placing my order?
    Yes. Log into your Tesla Account, select the ‘Manage’ button next to your Model 3 and select ‘Edit Design’. The order can be modified at any point until your vehicle has been assigned.

    How will editing my design after placing my order affect delivery timing?
    After placing your order, any edit to your car’s design has the potential to affect delivery timing, depending on the availability of the features in your final design.
    Note: Reverting to your original design after editing may not return you to your original delivery timeframe.

    Your Model 3 Delivery

    What should I expect on the day of delivery?
    Model 3 is incredibly intuitive. If you know your way around a smartphone, you’ll know your way around Model 3. On delivery day, our team will connect you with your Model 3 and demonstrate key features to get you set up and on the road. To prepare for delivery day, review the checklist in your Tesla Account, including items such as your Final Tax Invoice and delivery documentation. Detailed information on individual features can be learned about by watching our online support videos and through the built-in user manual available from the touchscreen.

    Can I reschedule my delivery?
    Yes. To reschedule your delivery appointment, contact your Delivery Experience Specialist.

    Where can I find the estimated delivery timing for my Model 3?
    You will be able to view estimated delivery timing in the Design Studio, based on options you select while configuring your Model 3.

    I’m a Model 3 reservation holder. Will I receive priority delivery?
    Once your order is confirmed, your delivery will be prioritized based on reservation date, delivery location and configuration options. The best way to ensure the fastest possible delivery is by confirming your order early.

    Where can I take delivery of my Model 3?
    We will assign you a delivery location based on your registration address after you’ve confirmed your order. You can update your registration address in your Tesla Account.

    What is the warranty?
    Your Model 3 is protected by a New Vehicle Limited Warranty.

    Cancelling Your Order or Reservation

    How can I cancel my Model 3 reservation?
    If you have not designed and ordered your Model 3 and are still holding a reservation, log into your Tesla Account, select the ‘Manage’ button next to your Model 3 and select ‘Submit a request’ to cancel your reservation.

    I cancelled my Model 3 reservation. When can I expect to receive my refund?
    If you’ve cancelled your Model 3 reservation, it can take up to three to four weeks to complete processing your refund and have the funds returned to you.

    Can I cancel my Model 3 order after I’ve designed and submitted my order?
    Yes. If you have already designed and ordered your Model 3, please reach out to your Owner Advisor or Delivery Experience Specialist. Funds will either be returned to the card used for your order payment, or if paid via bank transfer your BSB, Account Number and Account Name will be required.
