Your new Tesla vehicle is protected by a New Vehicle Limited Warranty, which includes the Basic Vehicle Limited Warranty, the Supplemental Restraint System Limited Warranty, the Battery and Drive Unit Limited Warranty, the Body and Rust Limited Warranty and the Zero-Emissions Vehicle Limited Warranties. Basic Vehicle Limited Warranty

The Basic Vehicle Limited Warranty covers your vehicle for 4 years or 50,000 miles, whichever comes first.

Supplemental Restraint System Limited Warranty

The Supplemental Restraint System Limited Warranty covers your vehicle for 5 years or 60,000 miles, whichever comes first.

Battery and Drive Unit Limited Warranty

The Battery and Drive Unit in your vehicle are covered for a period of:

Model S Model X Cybertruck	8 years or 150,000 miles, whichever comes first, with minimum 70% retention of Battery capacity over the warranty period.
Model 3 Rear-Wheel Drive Model 3 Standard Rear-Wheel Drive Model Y Rear-Wheel Drive Model Y Standard Rear-Wheel Drive	8 years or 100,000 miles, whichever comes first, with minimum 70% retention of Battery capacity over the warranty period.
Model 3 Long Range Model 3 Long Range Rear-Wheel Drive Model 3 Premium Rear-Wheel Drive Model 3 Premium All-Wheel Drive Model 3 Performance All-Wheel Drive Model 3 Performance Model Y Launch Series Long Range All‑Wheel Drive Model Y All-Wheel Drive Model Y Long Range All-Wheel Drive Model Y Long Range Rear-Wheel Drive Model Y Premium Rear-Wheel Drive Model Y Premium All-Wheel Drive Model Y Performance All-Wheel Drive Model Y Performance	8 years or 120,000 miles, whichever comes first, with minimum 70% retention of Battery capacity over the warranty period.

Body Rust Limited Warranty

The Body Rust Limited Warranty covers rust perforation (hole through the vehicle’s body panel from the inside outward) resulting from a defect in material or workmanship. The Body Rust Limited Warranty covers your vehicle for 12 years and unlimited miles.

Note: For vehicles purchased before February 1, 2019, there is no Body Rust Limited Warranty coverage.

Zero-Emissions Vehicle (ZEV) Limited Warranties

If your New Vehicle Limited Warranty is valid in the United States or Canada, your vehicle may be covered by the ZEV Limited Warranties. The ZEV Limited Warranties largely overlap with other coverages in the New Vehicle Limited Warranty. One of the ZEV Limited Warranties is the High-Priced Propulsion-Related Parts ZEV Limited Warranty.

High-Priced Propulsion-Related Parts ZEV Limited Warranty

The High-Priced Propulsion-Related Parts ZEV Limited Warranty covers the repair or replacement necessary to correct defects in the materials or workmanship of High-Priced Propulsion-Related Parts that reach a certain pricing threshold. Eligible vehicles are covered by the High-Priced Propulsion-Related Parts ZEV Limited Warranty for a period of 7 years or 70,000 miles, whichever comes first. Pre-Owned Vehicle Limited Warranty

The Pre-Owned Vehicle Limited Warranty gives additional peace of mind to owners of pre-owned vehicles purchased directly from Tesla.

Tesla pre-owned vehicles are covered by the remainder of 4 years or 50,000 miles left on the Basic Vehicle Limited Warranty. After expiration, the Pre-Owned Vehicle Limited Warranty provides additional coverage of 1 year or 10,000 miles. If the Basic Vehicle Limited Warranty has already expired, the Pre-Owned Vehicle Limited Warranty will provide coverage of 1 year or 10,000 miles, starting from your delivery date.

The balance of original Battery and Drive Unit Limited Warranty still applies for pre-owned vehicles.

Parts, Body and Paint Repair Limited Warranty

The Tesla Parts, Body & Paint Repair Limited Warranty covers parts purchased directly from Tesla, over the counter, online or purchased and installed by Tesla Service or a Tesla Collision Center.

This limited warranty covers the repair or replacement necessary to remedy any “failures” that are determined by Tesla to have occurred under normal use.

“Failure” means the complete failure or inability of a covered part to perform the function(s) for which it was designed, due to defects in material or workmanship of the part manufactured or supplied by Tesla, which occur under normal use. Failure does not include the gradual loss in operating performance due to normal wear and tear.

The Tesla Parts, Body & Paint Repair Limited Warranty begins on the purchase date of the part(s), and coverage extends for a period of 12 months or 12,500 miles, whichever comes first. However, some specific categories of parts have different warranty coverage periods:

Sheet metal: Limited lifetime
Drive Unit¹: 4 years or 50,000 miles, whichever comes first
Vehicle High Voltage Battery¹: 4 years or 50,000 miles, whichever comes first
Wall Connectors: 4 years for personal use, 1 year for commercial use
Touchscreen and Media Control Unit: 2 years or 25,000 miles, whichever comes first
Clear Protection Film²: 10 years
Color Paint Film²: 5 years
Vinyl Wrap: 1 year or 12,500 miles, whichever comes first

Optional Extended Service Agreement

If you have a Model S, Model X, Model 3 or Model Y, you may be eligible for an Extended Service Agreement. The Extended Service Agreement takes effect on the date that your original New Vehicle Limited Warranty expires.

To receive service covered by a Tesla limited warranty, you will need to take your vehicle to a Tesla Service Center. However, for any non-warranty repair or maintenance, you may use a Tesla Service Center or visit your preferred non-Tesla vehicle service center. Tesla is not responsible for any issues caused by improper repair or maintenance by a third-party service center. Yes. Your New Vehicle Limited Warranty will follow your vehicle and be transferred to the new owner when a vehicle ownership transfer is performed through Tesla.
Before your service appointment, the Service team will review your appointment details, perform remote diagnostics and prepare an initial estimate for your upcoming visit. Review the estimate in the Tesla app by tapping ‘Service’ > ‘View estimate.’ Repairs that are expected to be covered under warranty should appear as $0 on the estimate.

Certain repairs require an in-person inspection before the Service team can confirm warranty coverage. These repairs may appear on your estimate with an initial cost. If these repairs qualify for warranty coverage, the Service team will verify this on the date of your appointment and any charges for those repairs will be removed. For any questions about warranty coverage or repair costs, you can contact the Service team directly through the Tesla app.

Note: You will be notified of any changes to the initial estimate. Service will not be performed without your approval of any updated costs.
Tesla asks that you first provide us, during the applicable warranty period specified in the New Vehicle Limited Warranty or Pre-Owned Vehicle Limited Warranty, written notification of any defects you have experienced within a reasonable time and allow Tesla an opportunity to make any needed repairs before you pursue any remedy under the applicable laws in your jurisdiction. For California only, a consumer shall provide written notification of any noncompliance with the applicable express limited warranty by email to CAwarranty@tesla.com or by certified or registered mail, return receipt requested, to Tesla, Inc. c/o CT Corporation, 330 N Brand Boulevard, Suite 700, Glendale, CA 91203, if requesting a repurchase or replacement of a vehicle.
