Powering Devices with the Charge Port
The GB/T to Type A/I - Outlet Adapter lets you use your vehicle's battery as a power source.

You can use the GB/T to Type A/I - Outlet Adapter to power devices with Type A or I plugs from your vehicle's GB charge port.

Powering Devices
Make sure that the accessory that you're powering is rated for the correct amount of power.
Plugging In
- Open the charge port door on your Tesla
vehicle by lightly pressing on it while the vehicle is unlocked and in Park. You can also open
the charge port door on the vehicle touchscreen or mobile app, where the Powershare time
remaining estimate is displayed and adjustments to the discharge limit can be made.NotePowershare will not start if the high-voltage Battery has less than 10% remaining energy.
- Plug the outlet adapter into your vehicle's
GB chargeport and wait for the vehicle to engage the latch that holds the adapter in place.
- Plug your device with a Type A or I plug into
the outlet adapter. CAUTIONEnsure that your device does not exceed the maximum draw on the outlet adapter.
When the outlet adapter is actively providing power to a device, the status light blinks green.
Check the vehicle's touchscreen or mobile app to confirm that the Battery is powering the device.
When the charge level of the high voltage Battery drops below the discharge limit, power shuts off and a message is displayed on the vehicle touchscreen and in the mobile app.
Unplugging
To stop providing power from the vehicle:
- Stop the powering session using the vehicle's touchscreen or the mobile app.
- Unplug the device from the outlet adapter.
- With the vehicle unlocked, press and hold the button on the outlet adapter handle, wait for the charge port indicator light to turn white, and then pull the adapter out of the charge port.
- The charge port door automatically closes after you remove the outlet adapter.
- Store the outlet adapter in the vehicle for future use.
