With subscription solar, customers get the best from solar power — clean, cheap energy to power homes and vehicles — without upfront costs or decades-long agreements. In fact, customers can get solar power with one click, instead of lengthy consultations and piles of paperwork.

Right now, we are offering the option for subscription solar in six states – Arizona, California, Connecticut, Massachusetts, New Jersey and New Mexico.

What's included in the subscription offer?
The fixed monthly price includes the panels and other necessary hardware, installation, support and maintenance.
What are the available system sizes?
We offer four system sizes – small, medium, large or x-large.
A small system is 3.8 kW
A medium system is 7.6 kW
A large system is 11.4 kW
An x-large system is 15.2 kW
What's the right size for me?
The traditional way of selling solar is based on the incorrect notion that there is a ‘right’ amount of solar to have. The reality is that any amount of solar contributes to a sustainable energy future and makes money for customers when priced appropriately.
If I choose subscription solar, how much energy can I expect to generate compared to the subscription cost?

If I choose to subscribe, when will my billing cycle start?
Your initial order fee covers your first month of service, which begins when your system powers on. After that, your monthly payment will process on the day of the month your system was activated.
How do I view or modify my subscription payment information?
To view or modify your billing and payment history, please log in to your Tesla Account. Select the “Billing Portal” in the center screen. Once you have landed on this page, you will be able to modify your payment information, as well as view payment history and account statements. Can I also add Powerwall to my subscription?
At this time, Powerwall cannot be added to the subscription agreement. However, you can buy Powerwall and we will install at the same time. There is tremendous value in adding Powerwall to your solar subscription since it provides backup power and greater energy independence.
Can I change my order after placing it?
Yes. A Tesla Advisor will contact you shortly after placing your order. They will be able to make adjustments as necessary, such as changing your system size or payment type.
What happens after I cancel my agreement?
You can cancel your subscription at any time with no cancellation fee. After cancellation, your solar panels will be deactivated and will remain on your roof until you choose to reactivate them or have them removed at a mutually agreeable time. If you want your system removed, Tesla will provide you with a competitive quote.
Can I upsize or downsize my system after it’s installed?
Yes. A customer can upsize after installation.
What happens when I move?
If you sell your home, you can transfer the agreement to the new homeowner.

It depends on your preference as a homeowner and factors such as how long you plan to stay in your home. Both options keep extra cash in your pocket right away.
