Get Help and Schedule Service

Get help and find answers in the Tesla app if you are experiencing issues with your solar system.

To get started, download the Tesla app and sign in using your Tesla Account. If you already use the app for your Tesla vehicle, register your energy products using the same email address.

Get Help

If your system was installed directly by Tesla, get support directly from the Tesla app. If your system was installed by a third-party installer, get in touch with your installer directly for support.

Step 1: In the Tesla app, tap 'Support’ at the bottom of your energy system home screen.

Step 2: On the Support screen, select 'Get Help’ at the bottom of the screen.

Step 3: On the Select Service screen, select your issue.

Step 4: Tap ‘Next’ and complete the troubleshooting steps.

Step 5: If a Customer Support agent is available, you will be connected for live support. If not, you can send an email and a Customer Support agent will follow up via a phone call or email.

Note: To access this feature in the Tesla app, you must have Tesla app version 4.11.0 or higher.

Service Request Status & Updates

Note: To access this feature, you must have Tesla app version 4.8.0 or higher.

After submitting a service request, you can view the request details and its status through your Tesla app by selecting ‘Support’ at the bottom of your energy system home screen.

Schedule Service

Step 1: If we determine that a technician is required to visit your home, you will receive a notification to schedule service. To proceed, in the Tesla app, select ‘Support’ at the bottom of your energy system home screen.

Step 2: On the ‘Support’ screen, select ‘Schedule Service’ on the ‘Service’ section at the top. Note: ‘Schedule Service’ is only visible after we have determined that your system requires service.

Step 3: On the ‘Confirm Appointment’ screen, review the date, time and service duration.

Step 4: Tap ‘Schedule’ to proceed with scheduling your service.

Cancel and Reschedule Service

Step 1: In the app, select ‘Support’ at the bottom of your energy system home screen.

Step 2: On the ‘Support’ screen, select ‘Service Scheduled’ on the ‘Upcoming Appointment’ section at the top.

Step 3: At the bottom of the ‘Appointment’ screen, select ‘Cancel,’ then select ‘Yes’ to confirm.

Step 4: To reschedule service, select ‘Schedule Service’ on the ‘Service’ section at the top of the ‘Support’ screen.

Step 5: On the ‘Confirm Appointment’ screen, review the date, time and service duration.

Step 6: Tap ‘Schedule’ to proceed with rescheduling your service.
