How to Install Powerwall 2

Powerwall 2 is a rechargeable home battery and is paired with Backup Gateway 2. Multiple Powerwalls may be installed depending on the size of the home, how many loads the customer wishes to back up during an outage and/or the size of the customer's solar system. Powerwall 2 can be paired with Backup Gateway 2 or added to a Powerwall+ system with either Backup Switch or Backup Gateway 2. Depending on local codes, Powerwall 2 can be installed indoors or outdoors, wall-mounted or floor-mounted. Powerwall 2 has a single wiring compartment with cable entry through the left side or rear of the unit.
