Solar Roof Installation Overview
Removing Existing Roof
Solar Roof is designed to be installed as a new roof. We will remove your existing roof system down to the decking. Learn more about your installation eligibility for Solar Roof or solar panels based on roof type.
Installing on a New Roof
A layer of waterproofing underlayment will be placed on top of the decking.
-
A combination of solar and non-solar tiles will be installed on top of the underlayment. Your solar tiles will be wired to an inverter and Powerwall to complete your integrated Solar Roof system.
-
Solar Roof tiles are wired in series and parallel, much like traditional solar panels, to achieve the proper inverter operating voltage.
-
