Troubleshooting

If you receive an alert that there is a communication issue between your Inverter and Gateway, please review the following steps to try to resolve the issue.

Step 1: Provided the sun is up, verify that the SolarEdge Inverter is displaying greater than 0W:

SolarEdge:

  1. If the screen is blank press the LCD button inside the cavity (see picture).
  2. Verify that the Inverter is displaying a value greater than 0 watts under Pac [w].

SolarEdge HD Wave:

  1. If the screen is blank, press any button to turn on the display.
  2. Verify that the Inverter is displaying a value greater than 0 watts under Pac [w].

If the inverter is not displaying greater than 0W, request support through this form. Don’t troubleshoot any further.

Step 2: Reboot your SolarEdge Inverter if it is displaying greater than 0W:

  1. Locate your AC Disconnect as shown below (Not all systems have an AC Disconnect).
    • If you have an AC disconnect, pull the lever down.
    • If there is no AC disconnect, turn off the breaker in the main panel.
  2. Wait 30 seconds, and then return the switch to the on position.
  3. Power cycle the Gateway by disconnecting the power source; wait 30 seconds before plugging back in.
  4. The Gateway’s LED status light will illuminate when connected properly.
